IGRA is releasing an additional 26,990 lines to its collection. This release includes the first list of many from the airlift of Yemenites from Aden called "Operation Eagles' Wings" or "Magic Carpet". Another important addition is the Scroll of the Slaughter 1918-1920, a list of over 9,000 victims of the pogroms in Ukraine. In addition there is a list of the families in Rehovot in 1917, Gdud Ha'avoda (the Work Battalion), marriages from Jerusalem and Thessaloniki in the early 20th century, actors and creators from the Habima Theatre, births from Pardes Hanna 1935-1946, and the list of Mohalim for 2016.
3. Following Israel’s independence, JDC organized and financed
Operation Magic Carpet, bringing Yemenite Jews to Israel. The first
phase initially airlifted orphans but then also included
unaccompanied women and children and elderly men from mid-
December 1948 through early March 1949 to the newly established
State of Israel from the British Protectorate of Aden. The list
includes names, sex, birth year, weight, and family status.

10. Megilat haTevah describes events in 396 locations where Jews were
murdered.|
Megilat haTevah of Eliezer David Rosenthal was one of the most
comprehensive and important works written about Ukrainian Jewry in general
and about the Jews during the period of the civil war in particular. The work
is a priceless contribution to understanding the pogroms in Ukraine.
Rosenthal's documentary project is so impressive in range and content that
no parallel can be found in modern Jewish history. Unlike historians and
chroniclers, Rosenthal did not seek to trace the causes of the pogroms, their
motivations, or their scope. Instead he was concerned with the ordinary Jew
who was the first to pay the price of the bloodstained civil war in the
disintegrating tsarist empire. Megilat haTevah thus reveals the appalling
events of the war from the viewpoint of the survivor and the victim. Its
commemorates the tens of thousands of massacred Jews.
