of Singapore –
An Introduction
(Lesson 1)
Overview of Project Work
As part of the SG 50 celebration, the school
has decided to showcase our local
entrepreneurs who are successful in their
own fields.
Before ending your primary school days, the
school would like you to introduce these
local entrepreneurs to the P2 pupils in a form
that they will understand and enjoy.
Project Timeline
T4 W5
 in groups of 4, appoint roles to group members
 decide on entrepreneur to showcase
 decide on ICT Tool (e-book) to use for
presentation
 complete bio cube planning sheet
T4 W7
 JIT lessons on different e-books eg: storyjumper,
pageflip flap, story creator, simplebooklet, tikatok
 finalise story line and create e-book
T4 W9
 submission of e-book to Teacher
 presentation of e-book to P2 pupils
SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEURS –
WHO ARE THEY?
• These are the people who have made a name for
themselves in their own fields.
• Let’s find out who they are.
In this lesson, you will need to:
1. Get into groups of 4
2. Choose an entrepreneur you want to
showcase
3. Assign roles & responsibilities to each
group member
Getting into Groups
 10 Minutes
 Get into groups of 4
 Find a pair-up partner
 Choose an entrepreneur
 Record in your PW booklet the names of
pupils assigned to the different roles
As a Team Leader
 lead the group and ensure members keep to
the topic.
 distribute work fairly among group members and
check that members are keeping to the
schedule.
 help members to overcome an agreement if
they differences.
 plan for actions tasks during discussions.
 remind members to question ideas, not people.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Recorder
 keep brief notes of what has been discussed
and done during the discussion.
 take notes of what is to be done by which
group member – remind group members
what they are responsible for.
 take part in group discussions.

As an Encourager
 always praise good ideas.
 look for good points of an idea.
 encourage those who are quiet to share
their ideas.
 make sure everyone has his / her turn to
speak.

As a Time Keeper and Noise Monitor
 remind your group if they are making too much
noise.
 remind group members on time left in class.
 remind group members on how much time they
have left to complete their work at home.

 remember, you will be evaluated by your team
