4. INTRODUCTION TO ICC

ICC English Club (directly
International Cooperation Center –
Thai Nguyen University) was
established by a group of students
from different colleges around Thai
Nguyen University on 20th –
November – 2009.
After nearly 7 years of operation and
development, ICC has always been
one of the most prestigious English
clubs in the fields of Thai Nguyen
province. As the year went by, it is
high time for ICC to look back on all
the memorable activities.

5. ICC English Club has still
guaranteed its orientation:
1. Creating a professional and
friendly studying – enviroment for
all students who keen on learning,
practising and improving oral
English proficiency.
2. Building up an energetic place
for all students so as to make
friends, enhance confidences as
well as discover their real abilities.
3. Organizing the outdoor activities
and events for members.
4. Coordinating with others English
clubs and organizing various
exchange days for foreign teachers
& students.

6. OFFLINE MEETING

Offline meetings regularly organizes
on Sunday afternoon (from 3 p.m to 5
p.m) in the First Meeting Room at
International School (directly Thai
Nguyen University) . In the year
2015, ICC’s leadership tried to
innovate the meeting’s content
through various activites which
concentrated on practising English .
Whereby, offline meetings not only
improve their English and their
confidences but also strengthen a
close relationship among ICC
members. Those are the significant
numbers about the offline meeting:

-27 offline meetings were
successfully organized as
well as attracted numerous
of participants.
-Nearly 65 activites
(including English topics,
games, songs…) related to
oral English proficiency
were discussed and
accomplished.
-Member’s soft skills were
remarkably enhanced.

ICC English Club also created a
diversity of languages exchange
days with other English clubs in
the field of Thai Nguyen
province, for instance: TNUT
English Club (directly Thai
Nguyen University of
Technology), Community
English Club (directly School of
Foreign Languages – Thai
Nguyen University) , English
Training Centre (ETC) ,
IAESTE Trainees, etc.
Moreover, numerous of events
were successfully organized,
such as: “The Leadership Day”,
“The Halloween Disguise Party”
and “The sixth birthday
anniversary & Christmas
Party”. Those not only attracted
various participants but also
promoted ICC’s images.

9. The Language & Culture Exchange Day with TNUT English
Club And IAESTE Trainees

On 6th – September – 2015, ICC English
Club and TNUT English Club (directly
Thai Nguyen University of Technology)
cooperated with IAESTE Vietnam’s
Office to organize “The Language &
Culture exchange days “for IAESTE
trainees with a friendly & happy
atmosphere as well as discussed the
intersting topics and played fascinating
games. Thereby, all participants somehow
understood more about the cultural’s
knowledges , also tighten the friendship
between every club’s members.

10. THE HALLOWEEN DISGUISE PARTY (25th – October – 2015)

The Halloween’s concept of ICC
English Club in 2015 was an 3 in 1
interesting combination “Heaven –
Hell – Earth”. All participants did
share a fascinating, idyllic, and
memorable moments together .
What makes the Halloween Party
2015 became the best event ever was
the friendly and active participation
in all performances, regardless of
gender, culture, religious or
expression to sing and dance
together like a really big family.

11. THE SIXTH BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY & CHRISTMAS PARTY

The sixth birthday anniversary & Christmas Party was
organized on 20th – December – 2015 in a very cosy and
intimate atmosphere from ICC members and special
guests.

12. COMPETITION
In the year 2015, ICC English Club organized the two mini contest to promote member’s
ability, additionally, to salute the sixth birthday anniversary and the Christmas Party .

The “English Video Contest” was
the first competition which lasted
from 29th – November – 2015 to 5th
– December – 2015. ICC received
14 videos from 14 candidates who
expressed their English abilities on
various topics. Eventually, the first
prize was awarded to Ms Trinh
Ngoc Phuong Thao – (from Class
English Education C K37 – SFL –
TNU.
The second competion named
“English Speaking Contest” which
was held in the offline meeting on
Sunday afternoon, 13rd –
December – 2015. Finally, Mr
Nguyen Thanh Tung (from Class
English Education C K37 – SFL –
TNU ) debated 22 others
candidates to achieve the first
award.

14. OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Besides offline
meetings, events and
competition, outdoor
activities were also
one of the most
noticeable aspects of
ICC English Club in
the past year.

15. ICC’S RUNNING MAN (29th – March – 2015)

Every participants was equally dividied
into six groups, after that they had to
overcome six obstacles to find out the
treasure. In addtion, it is remarkable
that this actitivities attracted
approximately 60 people from differents
colleges in the field of Thai Nguyen
Univeristy as well as became the biggest
outdoor activity of ICC in the year
2015.

16. THE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES IN THE THAI NGUYEN DEFENCE
EDUCATION CENTRE WITH COMMUNITY ENGLISH CLUB

On 7th – November – 2015, ICC
English Club coordianated with
Community English Club (directly
School of Foreign Languages – Thai
Nguyen University) to organize a
special outdoor meeting in the Thai
Nguyen Defence Education Centre.
This activites aimed at giving regards
to ICC and CEC members who were
studying there, along with built up the
friendship between two English clubs.

17. THE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES IN SONG CAU PARK

This fascinating
activities included three
parts: photograph,
games and parties and
was held on Sunday
afternoon, 6th –
December – 2015. After
organizing this one,
ICC has received
numerous of postitive
feedbacks and is
expected to create more
and more outdoor
activities.
