This capability is available for SmartCloud Engage Standard and Advanced, SmartCloud Connections, SmartCloud Notes subscribers. Calls can take place between authenticated subscribers, not with guests. Another exciting new chat feature is the ability to share files with a chat partner from My Files. When you share a file from My Files it automatically grants reader access to your chat partner. Ability to suppress Subscription emails. Now there is also the ability to suppress email notifications - through the admin API Or programmatically through bulk provisioning tools From the Administration console, Administrators can suppress the email notification to the end user when provisioning, de-provisioning or editing a subscription, improving the subscriber’s experience and enabling companies to choose what to communicate about subscription changes. A new check-box is provided in Cancel Subscription, Transfer User and Renew Subscription screen. Checking this box by CSG will suppress the notification email to the company or end user. Only Administrators can see the link, it isn’t visible to subscribers. This enables Administrators to manage the distribution of Notes client in a way that meets the organization’s business needs. The Downloads and Setup page is accessed from the top navigation in the service from Apps > Downloads and Setup. Options shown are driven by entitlements and may vary from these screenshots. Administrators whose organization have SmartCloud Notes entitlement will see an entry titled “Software Entitlements” that will take them to a search page to find the appropriate software image.
- Starting with the trends that are transforming the IT industry and the way we work – none of these are new concepts. They have all been around long enough to have caught the attention of mainstream press and people outside of technology. What’s remarkable about these trends, is that they continue to evolve very rapidly, and each year bring a new hallmark in terms of the impact they have on our lives: Social – entered the workforce 5-6 year ago when we introduced Connections - adopted by forward thinking companies who were seeking to leverage the same transformative power we experienced in our personal lives – the ability to stay up to the minute with a large and distributed network of personal contacts – with surprisingly little effort. They discovered that it’s just as easy to stay up to the minute with your business network, and discovered the amazing power of working out loud, crowdsourcing solutions, accelerating the flow of information, enabling insights to transend traditional reporting lines, and allowing networks to transennd traditional barriers. 2 years ago we published case studies that showed tangible benefits to applying social in the workplace – through cost reductions, faster product development, improved market presence and drastic improvements in customer service. In just the past year, we conducted a study that showed that pacesetters are actually achieving competitive advantage as a direct result of leveraging social. Mobile – 5 years ago the pattern was that many employees started using company-issued devices to perform email and access the network. One year ago BYOD became the buzzword. And today, BYOD is an assumption, and busineses are now faced with supporting multiple devices, ownership models, form factors AND mobile OS combinations. The challenge is compounding. Cloud – IBM announced that cloud was one of 4 key initiatives on its strategic roadmap, expected to deliver the top line growth for the company in the forseeable future. We have made a number of highly publicized acquisitions in cloud, and we’ve deployed significant resources internally to fuel this growth. And in the area of analytics, you’ve no doubt seen the news on Watson, and the new center in New York that is dedicated to bringing Watson technology to life.

With a simple search on the terms 'Project Greenwell' (for that important meeting) immediately we are extracting and displaying pertinent information The artifacts that are of value that are buried deep within the email messages, status updates, documents, people, links, and other information that makeup my understanding of the project. And if I wanted to find out information about a file, for example, a click on the upper right hand corner and you'll see the object actually flips around so you can see the details And the great news is it allows you to easily find that one piece of content for Minh that you were searching for for the important meeting in this scenario.
