A few things
- Can we find an opening picture slide that is appropriate .. maybe something like the great migration - Africa.. animals or something else you think appropriate that speaks to this paragraph.. something that implies a race to succeed .. and a burst of capabilitlies that allow success
You are all in the midst of making some significant decisions – architectural decisions in the broadest definition of the term. You also have a rich set of capabilities that you have invested in over the history of your organizations.
I would like to share with you our perspectives and our learnings, having worked across industries and geographies to address the challenges and the opportunities of this unprecedented burst of capabilities that has put CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and IT leaders at the center of organizational strategy like never before.
- Can we add a slide ... more a picture .. between slides 4 and 5 - that speaks to this paragraph
As we engage with our clients across the globe, they, like you, are and will continue to make these key architectural decisions that will create the basis of their organizations thriving in a landscape full of disruptors – the quintessential question is: how do I position the organization to disrupt and not be disrupted?
- Too much text on slide 7 - can we again add a picture that is in the background - data..databases.. ticker scrolling etc.. maybe a video, text, structured data - portrayed
and reduce the text - we dont need all of that - just the main points
- Proabably dont need slide 8 - move to appendix
- As you can tell by now, I like slides 9, 10.. but instead of 11 - we should use the three points I make about how to .. and yes - with a graphic - stair step or stairway to heaven :)
Our learning across our clients is to approach AI/ Cognitive across some key areas that will:
1.Build deeper human engagement with customers, employees, your ecosystem as we are doing with GEICO, Macy’s, Mizuho bank
2.Scale expertise – like the oncologists are doing at Sloan Kettering ?? and many other centers
3.Automate processes – as Airbus is doing with fleet management
- Dont like slide 13.. need a slide with a picture that depicts complexity - with blockchain, iot, etc called out
Should I close with this slide? Digital reinvention .. Slide 7 in the attached? It also has some good slides as I see it now - I used this at Interconnect last year - but still relevant - for innovation etc.

Cloud, not long ago, was touted primarily as a cost cutting tool and means of improving agility through easy access to low cost infrastructure. Its now gaining visibility in the minds of leaders for its potential to change the dynamics of digital globalization and competition.
One way to drive the new experiences clients are after is to bring together the value of existing investments in data and applications, with new methods of engagement in the form of modern, hybrid mobile apps, that extend the reach of business right into the hand of the consumer, and augment the data you have today with social, weather, IOT and other data that enrich the clients experience and interactions.
And as we move to more strategic applications of cloud, we uncover opportunities to re-imagine business processes, and entire industry models. Cognitive capabilities can learn from individual client interactions over time, and adapt automatically to accommodate changing preferences, buying patterns, and even understand tone of voice to tailor the interactions to the person’s state. But that is only the beginning, the ability to interconnect the latest capabilities on cloud, no matter the vendor or source with speed, and without lockin, can make the difference between lagging and leading.
The extent to which leaders look into the horizon, and consider the strategic implications of the cloud strategy select today, could have the greatest impact on log term success. Is the strategy centered solely on scalable infrastructure, is it adaptable to your business model and investments, does it deliver the higher value business applications and industry functions you may want to tomorrow to enable game-changing business models, processes and customer experiences?
