4. Today Pakistan is facing a lot of social problems but
some are very common in Pakistan. Which are destroying
our society and also economy of Pakistan.
Like Child labour, Poverty, Illiteracy, Population
growth, Terrorism, Smuggling, and Drug abuse etc.
The topic which I have selected is “Child labour”.
It is a global issue. Child labour is one of the most
common problem in Asia and also in Pakistan.
5.
6. • I decided to choose Child labour topic,
because I was very unfamiliar with this
subject. Here and there, I was hearing that
people my own age had to work in horrible
conditions. Some were getting trafficked
others couldn't go to School, because they
had to work for their families. The main
concept was that Children/human were
getting mis-treated.
• I want to point out this awkward concept in
our society.
10. “Child Labour” is work of children that harms them or
exploits them in someway e.g.
• Physically.
• Mentally.
• Morally or blocking access to Education.
United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund
(UNICEF) defines
“Child” as anyone below the age of 18,
and “Child Labour” as some type of work performed by
children below age 18.
11.
12. Pakistan has laws that limit Child labour, but the laws are
often ignored. An estimated 40 million children work in
Pakistan’s factories.
50% percent of the economically active children are in
age group of 5 to 9 years.
Out of these 3.8 million economically active workers, 2.7
million were claimed to be children.
in the agriculture sector. 73% of them were said to be
boys.
13. During the last year, the Federal Bureau of Statistics
released the results of its survey funded by International
Labour Organization (ILO’s) and International Program on
the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC). The findings were
that 3.8 million children of age group 5-14 years are working
in Pakistan out of total 40 million children in this age group.
While buffaloes may cost up to 15,000 rupees, children are
sold at prices between 500 and 2,000 rupees.
14.
15.
16. All human beings are equal.
A child’s right to live in security and peace, and enjoy
human dignity and protection under the responsibility of the
parents.
According to Our beloved Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad
(S.A.A.W)
Children should be taught to write and read.
21. Causes of child labour are:
Poverty
Unemployment of elders
Tradition to follow family business
Parental illiteracy
Failure of law
22.
23.
24.
25.
26. Child labour forces some children to steal things from
others in order to satisfy their daily living.
Child labour deprives a child from the basic right of
education.
Child labour effect the children mentally and
physically. For example:

37.
38. We need to see both sides of the pictures.
We just can’t close our EYES, IGNORE and THINK things
would get better one day…
39.
40. Awareness must be raised and parents should attention to
the education of their children.
Child Labour Laws should be strictly put into practice.
41. We have to distribute the education free of coast, give
flame to the candle of education and distribute the light of
knowledge among the people as our Holy Prophet (PBUH)
also says that
“get knowledge and distribute among
others.”
42. If we want success then we have to act upon these
principles and then our country can easily get rid of this
problem.
43.
44. People don’t know the importance of education. That’s
why most of children remain illiterate.
Child laborers are the economy runners of our country.
The importance of children and their value cannot be
denied.
They should be given their due rights.
Education and work should go side by side with proper
balance.
45. Poor Pakistan Families really
have no other options.
They really need to enforce
their laws.
