what order they’d need to be
done in.
13. Production milestones
One way of helping to set things in the right
order is to decide on your milestones.
This is where you list the jobs in the order you
think they need to be done.
For example, which would you need to do 1st?
Come up with an idea for your music video?
Hire actors and dancers?
14. Production milestones
By listing the tasks in the order they need
to be complete we can plan to get things
done in the right order, and we won’t fall
behind with our filming.
We can record this on a production
milestones document.

milestones
We can start to plan out what we will do
on a week-by-week or day-by-day basis
using a production schedule.
18. Production schedule
We need to know the following to fill in our
schedule:
Start date: when can we start planning
it?
Deadline: when does the video have to
be complete?
Milestones: what do we need to get
done in the time that gives us?
19. In pairs
Imagine you have six weeks before the
final edit of the video needs to be
complete.
Fill in the production schedule, dividing up
the milestones on a week by week basis.
