WHAT IS VIDEO PROFILE INTERVIEWING?
NOT a Video Resume (a.k.a. Video CV)
• Video Resume is a video that your pre-record and send to potential employers
• Some websites host Video Resumes for candidates and help send to recruiters
• Yet, Video Resume is not used as standard evaluation method by recruiters

NOT a Video Live Interview or Video Conferencing
• More and more candidates get invitations to do later run interview via Skype
• This kind of Video Live Interview can be done through existing conferencing software like Skype
• Only 2-3 candidates per job will be invited because this is a time consuming event for employers

It is simple, just follow the check list

1. Prepare key talking points

 Equipment and Documents:
 A PC connected with high speed Internet (cable, ADSL)
 A functioning web cam and microphone connected to your PC
 A working Browser with a Flash plug-in (as when using YouTube)
 Read the invitation carefully and have all documents ready

 Environment:
 Find a clean, plain wall without distracting elements
 Add some lighting to your face so your face looks great
 Dress as if you were having an in person interview
 The color of your clothes should help you stand out from the background

 Energy:
 Adjust your web cam so you deliver good eye contact
 Smile and convey positive energy during the video recording
