1. Task 5 How did you attract/address your audience?

2. Actors We have addressed our audience by using particular actors which would appeals to the audience of the horror/thriller genre. For example, we used an attractive looking naked boy which would attract the female audience which is part of our target audience. We have also used a female wearing tight clothes which would attract the male audience which we are targeting.

3. Set/Locations The set and locations which we have used in our thriller would attract our target audience because of the shower, which relates to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho which is a popular thriller film which targets the same audience. Also the fact that it is in a boarding school, teenagers of our target audience can relate to this because most teenagers go to school and some even board.

4. Sex Our thriller suggests a sex scene at the beginning which is a popular topic for our target audience and a common occurrence for most people. Our targets audience can relate to this and may find this interesting to watch. The topic of sex also relates to other thriller movies of the same target audience. Our thriller suggests sex because of the use of shots, actors used and the way we have edited the shots together. However, this is juxtaposed with the next event which happens.

5. Killing Killing is an unfortunate everyday occurrence which is an example of social realism. Films which touch on this topic are often popular with the target audience of 15- 25 year old which are our target audience for our thriller. The fact that the killer is a female and the person being killed is a male, subverts social expectations which means that people might want to watch the film more because it is against the stereotype.
