John Wise MA is the Executive Director of the Pistoia Alliance
and is also the Programme Coordinator for the PRISME Forum.
Previously, John has held Informatics leadership roles in a vari-
ety of organizations including the University of London, Sandoz,
ICRF, Roche, Ipsen and Daiichi Sankyo. John has also worked
in the technology vendor domain of the industry. These roles
have allowed John to gain direct hands-on experience of deliver-
ing computer-based services to the discovery, non-clinical devel-
opment, clinical development and regulatory affairs domains of
the pharmaceutical industry. John has frequently presented at
conferences and has written articles for various journals. He is
committed to encouraging Pharma to get out of the IT business
and instead use expert, third-party, cost-effective, regulatory-
compliant, hosted information services.
Jens-Oliver Koopman,Ph.D is an experienced biotech scientist
with more than 25 years of professional experience. Since 2015
Mr. Koopman is working as a Principal Bioinformatics Scientist
at MedImmune UK. Jens-Oliver works in the Oncology group in
Cambridge (UK), Gaitherburg (US) as well as for AsraZeneca and
Spirogen. Mr. Koopman received his Ph.D. and performed his
postdoctoral stage at DKFZ in Heidelberg and afterwards worked
as a Senior Scientist at Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.
Main areas of interest are in cancer research and novel bioinfor-
matics applications.
Tamir Huberman joined Yissum in 2004, he is VP Business De-
velopment in the field of computer science and is further respon-
sible for the technical infrastructure necessary to support Yis-
sum’s business processes and application systems. In addition,
he is also the IT Director at ITTN; the Israeli Technology Transfer
Organization, InnerEye and BriefCam. Prior to joining Yissum, Mr.
Huberman was the co-founder of Artigon, served as part of the
R&D team at Orgenics and as the Head of IP and R&D at MedisEl.
He holds an MSc. in structural biology and a BSc. in biology from
the Hebrew University, a diploma in computer & electronics and
has continued his MBA studies at the Hebrew University. He is
also a certified Trainer of NLP from ABNLP.
Mark Gonzalez is Technical Director for LabWare’s European op-
erations, and is also responsible for LabWare’s Nordic organisa-
tion. He has been involved in Laboratory Informatics for over 25
years. His first exposure to LIMS was as a Laboratory Technician
within the pharmaceutical industry, when he was selected to ad-
minister the system. After a couple of years as a LIMS Admin-
istrator, Mark moved over to the vendor side of LIMS, working
in a variety of jobs from Technical Representative to Software
Development Manager. In 1995, Mark joined LabWare, who were
looking to achieve in Europe the same success they had achieved
within the USA. Mark implemented the first installations of Lab-
Ware LIMS within Europe. Mark Gonzalez can be contacted at

JEREMY G. FREY
Professor of Physical Chemistry
University of Southhampton
Jeremy Frey obtained his DPhil on experimental and theoretical
aspects of van der Waals complexes in the Physical Chemistry
Labs, Oxford University under the supervision of Professor Brian
Howard, followed by a NATO/EPSRC fellowship at the Lawrence
Berkeley Laboratory and University of California, with Professor
Y. T. Lee. In 1984 he took up a lectureship at the University of
Southampton, where he is now Professor of Physical Chemistry.
His experimental research probes molecular organization in en-
vironments from single molecules in molecular beams to liquid
interfaces using laser spectroscopy from the IR to soft X-rays.
He investigates how e-Science infrastructure supports scientific
research with an emphasis on the way digital infrastructure can
enhance the intelligent creation, dissemination and analysis of
scientific data.
KEVIN TEBURI
Director of Informatics & IT
Astrazeneca UK
Kevin Teburi is presently the Director of Informatics and IT- iMed
Team Leader at Astrazeneca. Kevin is a leader with a blend of
biology,IS/IT and informatics management skills. This skillset is
complimented with in-depth and direct experience of both drug
hunting research projects and implementing Scientific Informat-
ics/IS/Information Technology within corporate settings. Kevin
Teburi has 17 years of experience in leadership and manage-
ment, and his carreer has had increasing responsibility and influ-
ence as a senior leader in IT. Currently Kevin is the Director of a
large team of specialists in information management and IT and
accountable for a diverse and dynamic portfolio of IT projects
and services.

Experienced manager of multidisciplinary computational and ex-
perimental R&D teams. Specialization in setting up and day-to-
day operations of R&D computational and experimental facilities
that produce and analyze high quality high throughput systems
biology data under Quality Management Systems. Excellent skills
in communication, project management and budget planning.
Expert knowledge in strategy development for integration of
computational and experimental data in business environment.
RILEY DOYLE
CEO and Technical Lead

As a biochemist turned software engineer, Riley recognized the
enormous untapped potential for software innovation in the life
sciences. An alum of Genentech, he brings ten years of labora-
tory-based genetic engineering experience to Desktop Genetics.
Riley is passionate about developing the next-generation of bio-
informatics tools that drive science forward. He holds a Bach-
elor’s of Engineering from Dartmouth College, a Bachelor’s of
Arts in Biochemistry from Colby College, and and an MPhil in
Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge.

Mario Richter presently is the Group Leader DMPK-BA at the Bio-
analysis Department (Proteins) at AbbVie Laboratories in Lud-
wigshafen. Mario studied biochemistry at the Johann Wolfgang
Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and had an internship at
the Harvard Medical School in Boston. After receiving his Ph.D.
at the Institute of Molecular Pathology Boehringer Ingelheim in
Vienna, M.Richter worked as a Lead Scientist at t2cure GmbH.
From 2010-2014 he was the Laboratory head DMPK-BA at the
Bioanalysis Department (Proteins) at AbbVie Laboratories in Lud-
wigshafen.
