2. INTRODUCTION:
General Insurance is any insurance that is not
determined to be a life insurance. It is even called
Property and Casualty Insurance. It has been taken by
General Insurance Corporation of India through its
five subsidiaries.
General Insurance is done by four
subsidiaries companies namely National Insurance
Co. Ltd., the New Indian Assurance Co. Ltd., the
Oriental Co. Ltd. and United India Insurance Co. Ltd.
These all have independent workings and their frame
work is decided by GIC.

3. TYPES:
1. Fidelity
Guarantee.
2. Aviation Insurance
Policies.

4. DEFINATION OF FG:
Coverage against direct financial
losses caused to the employer
- by a act of fraud, dishonesty,
theft.
-committed by the guarantee
employee.
-during period of indemnity.

6. SCOPE:
1. On or after the date of commencement of this
policy
2. During uninterrupted service with the Insured
and discovered during the continuance of this
policy or within twelve calendar months of
the expiration thereof
3. In the case of death, dismissal or retirement
of the Employee with twelve calendar months
of such death, dismissal or retirement
whichever of these events shall first happen.

7. CONDITION:
1. The liability shall not exceed in respect
of any employee the sum insured
stated against his name or as declared
herein.
2. The liability shall not exceed respect of
all claims under this policy, the total
sum insured.
3. IT is not liable to pay more than one
claim in respect of the one 1 employee.

8. DEFINATION OF
AVIATION POLICY:
Aviation insurance is insurance coverage
geared specifically to the operation of aircraft
and the risks involved in aviation. Aviation
insurance policies are distinctly different from
those for other areas of transportation and
tend to incorporate aviation terminology, as
well as terminology, limits and clauses specific
to aviation insurance.

9. TYPES:
1. PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCEThis covers damage to the third party property by
aircraft.
2. PASSENGER LIABILITY INSURANCEThis protects passengers riding in the aircraft who
are injured or killed.
3. COMBINED SINGLE LIMIT (CSL)CSL covers combines public liability and passenger
liability into a single coverage over per accident.

10. 4. GROUND RISK HULL INSURANCE NOT IN
MOTIONThis provide coverage against damage when
aircraft is on ground like fire, theft.
5. GROUND RISK HULL INSURANCE IN MOTION
(TAXIING)This provides coverage against damage when
aircraft is taxiing, not while taking off,or landing
off.
6. IN- FLIGHT INSURANCEThis provides coverage against damage during all
the phases of flight and ground operations.

12. CONCLUSION:

The owner of the aircraft must pay as
much as attention to the insurance cover
as it does to all other aspects of the
transaction.
