First Take - OpenStack Day #1 Keynote
• Back to ‘roots’ to Austin – where it all started with 75 attendees, now 7500
• Launched certification effort
• Traction in Telco / NFV space – AT&T and Verizon on stage
• SAP showed IoT story on OpenStack
• VW showed plans for more OpenStack adoption
• Mirantis and Redhat made their pitches
• Telco heavy – AT&T won Superuser awards
Summary: Solid keynotes, but sometimes messaging and audience
did not get along. Still a good start.

• No news on major commercial users – WalMart, Ebay, Paypal
Summary: Good start of OpenStackSummit, good attendance,
need to see commercial NA traction. Stay tuned.
