Persuasive Essay On Alcohol
It is very scary that a known fatal substance is so readily available in today's society. A lot of people
like to relax with a drink of alcohol; however, it can cause many serious problems for others who
start to become dependent on it.
Alcohol is a very addictive substance and therefore can start to play a larger role in people's lives.
Alcohol is used in many different environments, from intense ranging parties, concerts, festivals,
small family get–togethers and even drinking on your own to have a relaxing night after work.
Many see no issues in having a casual beer here and there, although when we look at some of the
stats we can clearly see that alcohol is causing some major issues in our society. Research estimates
a whopping 86 percent of Americans will drink at some point in their lives and 70 percent drink at
least once per year. This shows that alcohol is present in many Americans lives, and thus from that
starting point an addiction can spawn. It only takes one time for someone to gain an addiction to a
substance. Therefore, as it is a legal drug it's very hard to recognize if someone has an addiction
problem. So, why is it important that we stay on the look out for a loved one or friend who may be
suffering from alcoholism?
How bad can it really be?
There are many serious consequences that come with drinking alcohol. We only have one life and
one body, therefore taking care of it is very important. When people say treat your body like a
temple, binge drinking

Persuasive Essay On Ocean Pollution
Earth's oceans are dying. "About 80% of the ocean around the world is polluted with chemicals
industrial and residential waste, all of which comes from the land" ("Marine Problems...").
Pollution is mainly coming from the people. Marine pollution should be stopped because it is the
cause of many problems and if something is done about it, people will see an increase in sea life
and healthier waters. It makes its way into the ocean and kills marine life. Ocean pollution is
affecting the way of fisherman and their everyday lives. It is also very bad on the community
because pollution is very bad on tourism. Ocean pollution should be stopped because it is poorly
affecting marine life, it is not good for fishermen, and is very bad on tourism....show more content...
Some ways that plastic enters the marine environment can be through improper waste
management, intentional or accidental dumping and littering near shorelines or at sea, or it
could even be through stormwater runoff carrying them to sea. "Plastics are used in many
aspects of daily life and are a big part of our waste stream. Many plastics are colorful and will float
in water, which makes plastic debris a very visible part of the marine debris problem."(OR&R's
Marine Debris)". Plastic is used by humans everyday because it is in mostly everything. From
phones to water bottles to your toothbrush. Plastic comes in many colors and can easily seen
floating on the water's surface. That means that it is even easier for fish to see and be mistaken
for food. Coral reef destruction is a big deal. There are many environmental threats on coral reefs
which means they are slowly dying. Coral reefs play a very important part in marine ecosystems.
Sea creatures depend on them for protection, camouflage, as a home, and also for food. Scientists
believe this could be from natural causes like erosion, and global warming as reasons that coral reefs
die off but one of the main reasons is pollution. There are many different ways pollution can affect
coral reefs. There is a chemical in sunscreen called oxybenzone that may be contributing to the
destruction of coral reefs as swimmers are trying to protect their skin. This chemical has toxic
effects on young coral that can damage their DNA,

Persuasive Essay On Vaccines
Vaccinations (not finished, please check the three page assignment part thank you)
Vaccines are the treatment that helps the human body produce an immunity against certain diseases.
Most people in the US have gotten some kind of vaccination in their life and routinely get check
ups. But some people in the US have not gotten vaccines at all because of their parents not getting
vaccines for them or because they don't believe that vaccines actually work. Parents and adults also
think that the ingredients might harm them or the child, or even give the child a genetic disorder.
Getting vaccinated is essential to human beings. It provides protection to the body against many
deadly diseases. Vaccines are great for protection against diseases...show more content...
(Should Vaccines be Required...) Ellen Clayton, MD, JD, Professor of Pediatrics and Law at
Vanderbilt Law School summarized the results of the report "The MMR vaccine does not cause
autism..." (Should Vaccines be Required..) Along with other diseases that people think can happen if
you get a vaccine.
Some people might think that the amount of ingredients in a vaccine aren't safe. The ingredients
that are used such as thimerosal, formaldehyde, and aluminum can be very harmful in large
amounts. But they are not used in harmful quantities in vaccines. According to Paul Offit, MD,
children are exposed to more bacteria, toxins, and other things that can be harmful in one day of
normal activities than in a vaccine. Children are also exposed to more aluminum in breast milk
than any vaccine. FDA requires ten or more years of ingredient testing before it is even legal to use
that vaccine. (Should Vaccines be Required..) The parents that believe vaccines are the problem may
need to do more research on a more reliable source and ask their doctors more questions about
getting them.
Some people might be thinking that a vaccination could have possible side effects that are harmful
to them. The most common side effect is a severe allergic reaction, but that only occurs in one per
couple hundred thousand, according to Sanjay Gupta. He has also said "You are 100 times more

Persuasive Speech About Suicide
From the very start, suicide has been a problem for many and it's not something that you can just fail
to notice. A countless number of young teens are attempting or have successfully taken their own
lives due to pain that has being inflicted on them. Without being able to actually cope with the pain,
they use suicide as the solution of ending all of their suffering. Did you know that, suicide is the third
leading cause of deaths among youth, but not just youth also among young adult? Suicide is an issue
that we until this day still have going on, and it can be prevented in many ways. I have lost family
and friends from the past, who took their own lives, without knowing the reason why they did it. In
addition, it left me wondering why and what could I have done, If I would have just listened to what
they had to say.
Various people don't actually get what is suicide yes it when someone kills themselves, but it can
also be someone who attempts to. People may think that one just takes their life just to get the
attention of others however, that is not true. I have come with a deeper understanding that there is
always a story behind why they did it. The world just has numerous of things happening all at once,
that there isn't enough time to focus on just one thing. Along with the pressures of having to look a
certain way and hostility of others isn't helping either. Suicide rates, therefore, are increasing
dramatically because of the increase of societal pressures and lack of time to address mental health
needs.
Throughout the course of my research, with the work of innumerable authors has furnished me with
a way to approach my inquiry.
One might wonder, what exactly makes a person want to take their own life. There is no real case
for why they decide to do it. Although, there are a multiple signs that one may be following the
pathway of suicide As I was doing some research I found out there can be many signs that can lead
to suicide that we may not notice. When person searching for any signs, they must look at a any

Chloe, was a young girl who had just moved from Kenya to the United States. She started
attending a local private school. Right away Chloe was discriminated against and bullied for her
cultural background and the way she looked. She would be called names such as "jungle girl",
"the shadow" and even "nigger". Soon Chloe was struggling in school because she was afraid to go
to her classes without being bullied. This is just one of the main examples of discrimination that
takes place every day around the world. Bullying is the product of discrimination. The issue of
discrimination did not occur overnight. Discrimination has been a problem for centuries. If we
looked back to the 18th century, peer–on–peer harassment was just as common as it is today. During
that time, however, bullying and discrimination was a newly recognized issue, and little was
understood about it. In those days any type of aggression in school was simply seen as a normal
part of childhood. Needless to say, the idea of discrimination has greatly changed over the years.
Discrimination and bullying have numerous effects on all ages of people today. The causes of
bullying and discrimination may vary, but it is usually along the lines of one person being a little
different or standing out more than the general group. The effects of discrimination very widely,
anything from personal harm to hindering someone mentally. There is hope, however. There are
multiple proposals for possible solutions to the problem and

restate your thesis statement (key essay idea) with strong points. The conclusion is the last chance
to persuade your readers to your point of view, to impress yourself upon them as a writer and
thinker. And the impression you create in your conclusion will shape the impression that stays with
your readers after they've finished the essay. It is different from summary. Summary reiterates the
main points of your essay whereas conclusion winds up the essay in a clear and interesting way
emphasizing on your personal opinion or suggesting a plan of action. It is normally a two to three

Persuasive Essay On Physician Assisted Suicide
The word suicide gives many people negative feelings and is a socially taboo subject. However,
suicide might be beneficial to terminally ill patients. Physician– assisted suicide has been one of the
most controversial modern topics. Many wonder if it is morally correct to put a terminally ill
patient out of their misery. Physicians should be able to meet the requests of their terminally ill
patients. Unfortunately, a physician can be doing more harm by keeping someone alive instead of
letting them die peacefully. For example, an assisted suicide can bring comfort to patients. These
patients are in excruciating pain and will eventually perish. The government should not be involved
in such a personal decision. A physician– assisted suicide comes with many benefits for the patient.
If a person is terminally ill and wants a physician assisted suicide, then they should receive one.
Physician– assisted suicide was first popularized in 1997 by the Oregon Death with Dignity Act
(ODDA) . This act states that a physician has the power to prescribe a lethal amount of medication
to terminally ill patients. However, the patients must have the knowledge of upcoming death. In
order to receive the medication the patient must, be over eighteen years of age, a resident of Oregon,
and must orally ask for the prescription twice. The oral requests must be fifteen days apart. The
patient's physician and a consulting physician must agree that the patient is mentally capable of
making such a

Persuasive Essay On Family Vacation
Approximately 33% or a third of all families in the United States will go on a family vacation this
year. Family vacations when you break it down is entirely for the parents. Parents and their children
are stressed during the school year, whether it's providing for the family or homework. Family
vacations may be stress reducing or enhancing depending on where you go, who you're going with,
and why you're going.
Where you go can influence how your trip will be. If you go to an amusement park, such as
Disneyland, you should expect to have some enhancement of stress due to lines, prices, or poor
weather. However, if you are one of the individuals that get all sun and no lines, then you might
enjoy yourselves. If you are traveling to a relative's house or town, you may feel more relaxed if you
like said relatives. However, if you have too many relatives or don't like said relatives, you may
become even more stressed than before you left. If you travel to another state or outside the
country you are more likely to be relaxed if you go to your native language speaking country or
region. My family has traveled outside of our home multiple times before, and we have even lived
in a whole other continent, with different cultures and scenes, in Singapore. From Singapore, you
have a wider range of places to go for cheaper than in the United States. My favorite places to travel
have been New Zealand and the Philippines so far. When my family travels for fun, most of the time
we end up enjoying ourselves if it's planned well. The major problem with traveling outside of the
country, and even states, is the time difference. Jetlag, or time difference, is when your body is
accustomed to your home's time zone and when you travel and there is a time difference your
body does not adjust for what experts say one day for every hour difference. Compared to Texas
the Philippines has a fourteen hour time difference, and New Zealand has a nineteen hour time
difference. Jetlag can also affect your overall enjoyment of a family vacation because you have to
be awake and not irritable in order to have fun. On the other hand, vacationing is not about where
you go, but who you go with.
People who vacation have a multitude of reasons to do

Animal Testing Persuasive Essay
Throughout history, animal experimentation has played an important role in leading to new
discoveries and human benefits. However, what many people tend to forget are the millions of
animals that are tortured or killed during the process of these painful, deadly experiments. Many
people seem to misunderstand animal nature and the laboratory procedures and techniques that are
executed on the animals. The procedures are cruel, unreliable, and harmful. Luckily there are more
humane alternatives that have also proved to be less expensive.
I assume many of you have pets including cats, dogs, rabbits, and mice. Imagine yourself as your
pet, but instead of living in a warm home with a caring family, you live locked up in a small metal
cage,...show more content...
Some might even consider it abuse. It is something that goes unnoticed every day because of the
benefits that humans gain from it. Animal testing is overshadowed by advancements in the medical
field. However, no product or medicine makes it acceptable.
Just because humans are considered a more powerful species, doesn't give us the right to treat
animals as if they are nothing. Would you want to be treated that way by a more dominant species
just for their benefit? It is clearly unfair. If you pull your cat's tail, it yells because it hurts. Animals
experience pain. They go through the same pain that we would if we were subjected to painful,
deadly experiments. Whether it's a dog, cat, rabbit, mouse, chimpanzee, or human, pain is something
we all feel.
However, when you compare the anatomy of a cat to that of a human, you can find numerous
differences, making animal testing unreliable and sometimes even dangerous. Some might say that
animal testing is crucial to scientific research but how can something be so crucial if the results are
not even completely accurate?
Luckily, there are alternatives for animal testing including computer models, cell structures, and
human testing. Although some may argue that computer models and cell structures are unreliable,
so is animal testing. You are given the choice between two unreliable methods, except in one, you are
not killing an innocent creature. Human testing is also a more just method. If the results are

Persuasive Essay On Climate Change
Climate Change
Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The
negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution, weather, and temperature changes, which
will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help;
people are trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate
change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can put an end to this problem due to
several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change
comes from our human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the
reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on the earth.
Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years.
Changes that can happen in the environment could be how cold is the temperature today, how much
sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets
affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When
that happens the environment will change the "impacts on human systems which involve food
production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada).
Different type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and
other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction threats" (Greenpeace
International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to
different places in the world and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1).
These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to know when the
problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and
it will harm the polar bears, seals, and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has
grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing process of the
food. In the summer when I go outside the temperature has increased from the radiated of the sun
shining towards me.

It is considered human nature to socially categorize people to be able to simplify the social worlds
and to make conclusions about others. To be honest every individual prefers to socialize with
people who share his/her ethnicity or interest without harming or disliking other different
backgrounds. But putting people in categories may lead to unconscious prejudice and
discrimination. Because it is seen as something that doesn't cause damage, it can lead to hurtful
unaware responses to many people. Tackling such a serious issue is a must by a central social work
to get beyond it because discrimination can lead to hate under the big umbrella of what is called
racism.
Racism, one of the world's most horrible and destructive problems, is...show more content...
One thing that makes a person less prejudiced is education. With more education lesser stereotypes
and prejudice is expressed. Education can make smaller prejudice acts probably due to the new
social norms that people are introduced to in school. Social norms interpret what to consider as
being appropriate and inappropriate. So when people are exposed to new perspectives they can
effectively change stereotypes and prejudice by changing known norms about something.
The school is the first place where children start to get introduced to social life and how to act in it
and where they grow up to become good citizens and contribute to their country. But children learn
from their teacher who teaches the tendencies and traditions of their society and with racism being a
major issue sometimes these teachings can lead to discrimination. So, teachers should be cautious
and stay away from false indications to race and gender, treat all students equally and seize every
chance to talk against hatred and discrimination. They should pay attention to the student's
performance and how it is affected by "race" because racism has always been existed in educational
institutions.
The powerful educational leader is the one who fully understands his/her job and how to apply it
properly and in the right way, and knows how to confront every problem. Teachers as educational
leaders must come together with school officials to help

Persuasive Speech : Why Should College Be Free?
Specific purpose: At the end of the speech, students will be persuaded that college should be free.
Central idea: Three reasons why college should be free: First, tuition and debt leads to attempted
suicides. Second, the student and their family are affected by higher tuition cost. Third, high
tuition fees diminish the amount of qualified job seekers in the career market. Introduction: 5
a.m. The alarm clock rings, on a normal day you would dread waking up so early. But today, is
not your normal average day. Monday, August 21st, 2017, is the beginning of your first day of a
new journey of college as a freshman; the nerves of the unknown lingers on as you sat in the
classroom, awaiting your professor arrival. Suddenly, the door swung open and a tall, muscular,
Caucasian male walked in, commanding the class attention by his demeanor. The nervousness
intensifies as he proceeded to call on the attendance. This is it people! the moment everyone,
including your family, have been waiting for; first–generation of your lineage to attend college.
Name by name each student signified their attendance by raising their right arm when called upon,
but, there's a problem, your name was not called on. What? How can it be? There's no way! you
are overcome with complete and absolute shock; realizing you've been dropped from your classes
due to financial aid issue. To continue enrolling, you would have to pay out of pocket. The
excitement that was there before, no longer remains. Countless number of young adults are
overwhelmed with the reality of college and paying for an education. For many students, each year,
they are the recipient of such a catastrophic experience. Unfortunately, I was the victim of this
heart–rending incident; imagine a society where financial aid and student loans did not exist, but
instead, the necessity of these financial programs would diminish because college tuition would be
free. My speech will be divided into two parts. The first part of my speech will be the problems of
college tuition many students face. The second part will be solutions to these problems. At the end
of my speech, I hope to persuade my fellow classmates that college tuition should be free. I.For many
students, the stress that

Persuasive Essay On Gmo
For a while now, the food that we consume has been generated through a far more complicated
process than we had ever thought. Genetically Modified Organisms is the process by which food
is being altered and grown in ways that do not occur naturally. Farming practices have been
altered from organic to majorly GMO, in order to accommodate this highly profitable industry as
well as the high demand by the citizens. GMOs allow food to grow faster, act as a bug repellant,
and also cause the product to grow bigger in size in a short time span. We have for the most part
stopped relying on local farmers and organic product to know depending on what is most
convenient to us. With grocery stores being so readily available with anything you could possibly

Climate Change: Persuasive Essay
Climate change has been discussed a plethora of times in the science community. Only a small
number of scientists believe that climate change is not happening. Most scientists today agree that
climate change is indeed happening and its causing extreme damage to the planet. What is majorly
causing climate change is the burning of fossil fuels. The gasses released are affecting the
atmosphere creating a greenhouse like effect on the earth which makes the temperature of the earth
rise. Climate change is extremely affecting Polar Bears and other animals close to extinction that
crucially rely on sea ice. Another major climate change affect is Coral Bleaching, which it is caused
by the ocean water temperature...show more content...
Part of the conclusion of the article "Climate change: evidence of human causes and arguments for
emissions reduction", written by Baum, Misra, and Karmosky states, "Climate change is a complex
and important issue. The study of climate change spans many academic disciplines across the natural
and social sciences, humanities, and engineering. Existing research finds that there is very strong
evidence that the climate is changing, that these changes are driven primarily by human activity, and
that the changes will have very large impact on natural and social systems." (12)
There are many effects of climate change that will affect many multicellular organisms. Polar
Bears being one of those organisms is already becoming extinct because of climate change. Due
to the rising temperatures of the earth's surface, the sea ice has been melting. Sea ice happens to
be a crucial factor for Polar Bears. The article "Climate change threatens polar bear populations: a
stochastic demographic analysis" written by Hunter, Caswell, Runge, Regehr, Amstrup, and
Strirling, states that sea ice has been decreasing, "The extent of perennial sea ice in the Arctic has
been declining since 1979 at an average rate of 11.3% per decade (Stroeve et al. 2007, Perovich and

Conclusion For Universal Health Care
Premise 1: A universal health care system would reduce health care costs.
Premise 2: Universal health care improves overall public health.
Premise 3: Universal health care would encourage patients to practice preventive medicine.
Premise 4: Healthcare would be affordable to all citizens if made universal.
Conclusion: Therefore, implementing a universal health care system in our society would greatly
benefit everyone.
Reducing Health Costs
With a universal health care system, the government would have control and run the system,
therefore, the cost of healthcare would be regulated. "A universal health care system would be
regulated by the government, so costs overall would be reduced with a more monitored system to
reduce inflated costs for tests, hospital stays and procedures." (Ireland, 2017) When you regulate
medical costs, the cost of medical coverage, supplies, and prescriptions are more affordable for
everyone.
Improved Overall Public Health
With universal healthcare being more affordable, everyone gets equal access to medical health
care. This can lead to a reduction in the number of medical issues suffered by our society.
According to Howard K. Koh, M.D., "we can 'absolutely' expect for overall public health to improve
if we provide quality, affordable health care coverage for all Americans." (Cohen, 2009) This
means people would miss less work and/or school. This also means that more people could be seen
for some of the most basic ailments such as colds,

because they think it's all fun and games but they do it because they are feeling helpless or

how they are truly feeling, most people that have friends like this try and play the role like they

Police Brutality Conclusion
In conclusion, police brutality has been in society since the days of slavery and is based generally
around racial profiling. Over the centuries, police brutality has been geared towards middle and

Conclusion For A Persuasive Essay

  • 1. Persuasive Essay On Alcohol It is very scary that a known fatal substance is so readily available in today's society. A lot of people like to relax with a drink of alcohol; however, it can cause many serious problems for others who start to become dependent on it. Alcohol is a very addictive substance and therefore can start to play a larger role in people's lives. Alcohol is used in many different environments, from intense ranging parties, concerts, festivals, small family get–togethers and even drinking on your own to have a relaxing night after work. Many see no issues in having a casual beer here and there, although when we look at some of the stats we can clearly see that alcohol is causing some major issues in our society. Research estimates a whopping 86 percent of Americans will drink at some point in their lives and 70 percent drink at least once per year. This shows that alcohol is present in many Americans lives, and thus from that starting point an addiction can spawn. It only takes one time for someone to gain an addiction to a substance. Therefore, as it is a legal drug it's very hard to recognize if someone has an addiction problem. So, why is it important that we stay on the look out for a loved one or friend who may be suffering from alcoholism? How bad can it really be? There are many serious consequences that come with drinking alcohol. We only have one life and one body, therefore taking care of it is very important. When people say treat your body like a temple, binge drinking Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Ocean Pollution Earth's oceans are dying. "About 80% of the ocean around the world is polluted with chemicals industrial and residential waste, all of which comes from the land" ("Marine Problems..."). Pollution is mainly coming from the people. Marine pollution should be stopped because it is the cause of many problems and if something is done about it, people will see an increase in sea life and healthier waters. It makes its way into the ocean and kills marine life. Ocean pollution is affecting the way of fisherman and their everyday lives. It is also very bad on the community because pollution is very bad on tourism. Ocean pollution should be stopped because it is poorly affecting marine life, it is not good for fishermen, and is very bad on tourism....show more content... Some ways that plastic enters the marine environment can be through improper waste management, intentional or accidental dumping and littering near shorelines or at sea, or it could even be through stormwater runoff carrying them to sea. "Plastics are used in many aspects of daily life and are a big part of our waste stream. Many plastics are colorful and will float in water, which makes plastic debris a very visible part of the marine debris problem."(OR&R's Marine Debris)". Plastic is used by humans everyday because it is in mostly everything. From phones to water bottles to your toothbrush. Plastic comes in many colors and can easily seen floating on the water's surface. That means that it is even easier for fish to see and be mistaken for food. Coral reef destruction is a big deal. There are many environmental threats on coral reefs which means they are slowly dying. Coral reefs play a very important part in marine ecosystems. Sea creatures depend on them for protection, camouflage, as a home, and also for food. Scientists believe this could be from natural causes like erosion, and global warming as reasons that coral reefs die off but one of the main reasons is pollution. There are many different ways pollution can affect coral reefs. There is a chemical in sunscreen called oxybenzone that may be contributing to the destruction of coral reefs as swimmers are trying to protect their skin. This chemical has toxic effects on young coral that can damage their DNA, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Persuasive Essay On Vaccines Vaccinations (not finished, please check the three page assignment part thank you) Vaccines are the treatment that helps the human body produce an immunity against certain diseases. Most people in the US have gotten some kind of vaccination in their life and routinely get check ups. But some people in the US have not gotten vaccines at all because of their parents not getting vaccines for them or because they don't believe that vaccines actually work. Parents and adults also think that the ingredients might harm them or the child, or even give the child a genetic disorder. Getting vaccinated is essential to human beings. It provides protection to the body against many deadly diseases. Vaccines are great for protection against diseases...show more content... (Should Vaccines be Required...) Ellen Clayton, MD, JD, Professor of Pediatrics and Law at Vanderbilt Law School summarized the results of the report "The MMR vaccine does not cause autism..." (Should Vaccines be Required..) Along with other diseases that people think can happen if you get a vaccine. Some people might think that the amount of ingredients in a vaccine aren't safe. The ingredients that are used such as thimerosal, formaldehyde, and aluminum can be very harmful in large amounts. But they are not used in harmful quantities in vaccines. According to Paul Offit, MD, children are exposed to more bacteria, toxins, and other things that can be harmful in one day of normal activities than in a vaccine. Children are also exposed to more aluminum in breast milk than any vaccine. FDA requires ten or more years of ingredient testing before it is even legal to use that vaccine. (Should Vaccines be Required..) The parents that believe vaccines are the problem may need to do more research on a more reliable source and ask their doctors more questions about getting them. Some people might be thinking that a vaccination could have possible side effects that are harmful to them. The most common side effect is a severe allergic reaction, but that only occurs in one per couple hundred thousand, according to Sanjay Gupta. He has also said "You are 100 times more likely to get Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Persuasive Speech About Suicide From the very start, suicide has been a problem for many and it's not something that you can just fail to notice. A countless number of young teens are attempting or have successfully taken their own lives due to pain that has being inflicted on them. Without being able to actually cope with the pain, they use suicide as the solution of ending all of their suffering. Did you know that, suicide is the third leading cause of deaths among youth, but not just youth also among young adult? Suicide is an issue that we until this day still have going on, and it can be prevented in many ways. I have lost family and friends from the past, who took their own lives, without knowing the reason why they did it. In addition, it left me wondering why and what could I have done, If I would have just listened to what they had to say. Various people don't actually get what is suicide yes it when someone kills themselves, but it can also be someone who attempts to. People may think that one just takes their life just to get the attention of others however, that is not true. I have come with a deeper understanding that there is always a story behind why they did it. The world just has numerous of things happening all at once, that there isn't enough time to focus on just one thing. Along with the pressures of having to look a certain way and hostility of others isn't helping either. Suicide rates, therefore, are increasing dramatically because of the increase of societal pressures and lack of time to address mental health needs. Throughout the course of my research, with the work of innumerable authors has furnished me with a way to approach my inquiry. One might wonder, what exactly makes a person want to take their own life. There is no real case for why they decide to do it. Although, there are a multiple signs that one may be following the pathway of suicide As I was doing some research I found out there can be many signs that can lead to suicide that we may not notice. When person searching for any signs, they must look at a any changes Behavior."if the new or changed behavior is related to a painful event, loss, or change. Right away Chloe was discriminated against and bullied for her cultural background and the way she looked. She would be called names such as "jungle girl", "the shadow" and even "nigger". Soon Chloe was struggling in school because she was afraid to go to her classes without being bullied. This is just one of the main examples of discrimination that takes place every day around the world. Bullying is the product of discrimination. The issue of discrimination did not occur overnight. Discrimination has been a problem for centuries. If we looked back to the 18th century, peer–on–peer harassment was just as common as it is today. During that time, however, bullying and discrimination was a newly recognized issue, and little was understood about it. In those days any type of aggression in school was simply seen as a normal part of childhood. Needless to say, the idea of discrimination has greatly changed over the years. Discrimination and bullying have numerous effects on all ages of people today. The causes of bullying and discrimination may vary, but it is usually along the lines of one person being a little different or standing out more than the general group. The effects of discrimination very widely, anything from personal harm to hindering someone mentally. There is hope, however. • 8. Persuasive Essay On Physician Assisted Suicide The word suicide gives many people negative feelings and is a socially taboo subject. However, suicide might be beneficial to terminally ill patients. Physician– assisted suicide has been one of the most controversial modern topics. Many wonder if it is morally correct to put a terminally ill patient out of their misery. Physicians should be able to meet the requests of their terminally ill patients. Unfortunately, a physician can be doing more harm by keeping someone alive instead of letting them die peacefully. For example, an assisted suicide can bring comfort to patients. These patients are in excruciating pain and will eventually perish. The government should not be involved in such a personal decision. A physician– assisted suicide comes with many benefits for the patient. If a person is terminally ill and wants a physician assisted suicide, then they should receive one. Physician– assisted suicide was first popularized in 1997 by the Oregon Death with Dignity Act (ODDA) . This act states that a physician has the power to prescribe a lethal amount of medication to terminally ill patients. However, the patients must have the knowledge of upcoming death. In order to receive the medication the patient must, be over eighteen years of age, a resident of Oregon, and must orally ask for the prescription twice. The oral requests must be fifteen days apart. The patient's physician and a consulting physician must agree that the patient is mentally capable of making such a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Persuasive Essay On Family Vacation Approximately 33% or a third of all families in the United States will go on a family vacation this year. Family vacations when you break it down is entirely for the parents. Parents and their children are stressed during the school year, whether it's providing for the family or homework. Family vacations may be stress reducing or enhancing depending on where you go, who you're going with, and why you're going. Where you go can influence how your trip will be. If you go to an amusement park, such as Disneyland, you should expect to have some enhancement of stress due to lines, prices, or poor weather. However, if you are one of the individuals that get all sun and no lines, then you might enjoy yourselves. If you are traveling to a relative's house or town, you may feel more relaxed if you like said relatives. However, if you have too many relatives or don't like said relatives, you may become even more stressed than before you left. If you travel to another state or outside the country you are more likely to be relaxed if you go to your native language speaking country or region. My family has traveled outside of our home multiple times before, and we have even lived in a whole other continent, with different cultures and scenes, in Singapore. From Singapore, you have a wider range of places to go for cheaper than in the United States. My favorite places to travel have been New Zealand and the Philippines so far. When my family travels for fun, most of the time we end up enjoying ourselves if it's planned well. The major problem with traveling outside of the country, and even states, is the time difference. Jetlag, or time difference, is when your body is accustomed to your home's time zone and when you travel and there is a time difference your body does not adjust for what experts say one day for every hour difference. Compared to Texas the Philippines has a fourteen hour time difference, and New Zealand has a nineteen hour time difference. Jetlag can also affect your overall enjoyment of a family vacation because you have to be awake and not irritable in order to have fun. On the other hand, vacationing is not about where you go, but who you go with. People who vacation have a multitude of reasons to do Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Animal Testing Persuasive Essay Throughout history, animal experimentation has played an important role in leading to new discoveries and human benefits. However, what many people tend to forget are the millions of animals that are tortured or killed during the process of these painful, deadly experiments. Many people seem to misunderstand animal nature and the laboratory procedures and techniques that are executed on the animals. The procedures are cruel, unreliable, and harmful. Luckily there are more humane alternatives that have also proved to be less expensive. I assume many of you have pets including cats, dogs, rabbits, and mice. Imagine yourself as your pet, but instead of living in a warm home with a caring family, you live locked up in a small metal cage,...show more content... Some might even consider it abuse. It is something that goes unnoticed every day because of the benefits that humans gain from it. Animal testing is overshadowed by advancements in the medical field. However, no product or medicine makes it acceptable. Just because humans are considered a more powerful species, doesn't give us the right to treat animals as if they are nothing. Would you want to be treated that way by a more dominant species just for their benefit? It is clearly unfair. If you pull your cat's tail, it yells because it hurts. Animals experience pain. They go through the same pain that we would if we were subjected to painful, deadly experiments. Whether it's a dog, cat, rabbit, mouse, chimpanzee, or human, pain is something we all feel. However, when you compare the anatomy of a cat to that of a human, you can find numerous differences, making animal testing unreliable and sometimes even dangerous. Some might say that animal testing is crucial to scientific research but how can something be so crucial if the results are not even completely accurate? Luckily, there are alternatives for animal testing including computer models, cell structures, and human testing. Although some may argue that computer models and cell structures are unreliable, so is animal testing. You are given the choice between two unreliable methods, except in one, you are not killing an innocent creature. Human testing is also a more just method. If the results are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Persuasive Essay On Climate Change Climate Change Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution, weather, and temperature changes, which will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help; people are trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can put an end to this problem due to several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change comes from our human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on the earth. Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years. Changes that can happen in the environment could be how cold is the temperature today, how much sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When that happens the environment will change the "impacts on human systems which involve food production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada). Different type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction threats" (Greenpeace International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to different places in the world and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1). These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to know when the problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and it will harm the polar bears, seals, and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing process of the food. In the summer when I go outside the temperature has increased from the radiated of the sun shining towards me. Human activities Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. It is considered human nature to socially categorize people to be able to simplify the social worlds and to make conclusions about others. To be honest every individual prefers to socialize with people who share his/her ethnicity or interest without harming or disliking other different backgrounds. But putting people in categories may lead to unconscious prejudice and discrimination. Because it is seen as something that doesn't cause damage, it can lead to hurtful unaware responses to many people. Tackling such a serious issue is a must by a central social work to get beyond it because discrimination can lead to hate under the big umbrella of what is called racism. Racism, one of the world's most horrible and destructive problems, is...show more content... One thing that makes a person less prejudiced is education. With more education lesser stereotypes and prejudice is expressed. Education can make smaller prejudice acts probably due to the new social norms that people are introduced to in school. Social norms interpret what to consider as being appropriate and inappropriate. So when people are exposed to new perspectives they can effectively change stereotypes and prejudice by changing known norms about something. The school is the first place where children start to get introduced to social life and how to act in it and where they grow up to become good citizens and contribute to their country. But children learn from their teacher who teaches the tendencies and traditions of their society and with racism being a major issue sometimes these teachings can lead to discrimination. So, teachers should be cautious and stay away from false indications to race and gender, treat all students equally and seize every chance to talk against hatred and discrimination. They should pay attention to the student's performance and how it is affected by "race" because racism has always been existed in educational institutions. The powerful educational leader is the one who fully understands his/her job and how to apply it properly and in the right way, and knows how to confront every problem. Central idea: Three reasons why college should be free: First, tuition and debt leads to attempted suicides. Second, the student and their family are affected by higher tuition cost. Third, high tuition fees diminish the amount of qualified job seekers in the career market. Introduction: 5 a.m. The alarm clock rings, on a normal day you would dread waking up so early. But today, is not your normal average day. Monday, August 21st, 2017, is the beginning of your first day of a new journey of college as a freshman; the nerves of the unknown lingers on as you sat in the classroom, awaiting your professor arrival. Suddenly, the door swung open and a tall, muscular, Caucasian male walked in, commanding the class attention by his demeanor. The nervousness intensifies as he proceeded to call on the attendance. This is it people! the moment everyone, including your family, have been waiting for; first–generation of your lineage to attend college. Name by name each student signified their attendance by raising their right arm when called upon, but, there's a problem, your name was not called on. What? How can it be? There's no way! you are overcome with complete and absolute shock; realizing you've been dropped from your classes due to financial aid issue. To continue enrolling, you would have to pay out of pocket. The excitement that was there before, no longer remains. Countless number of young adults are overwhelmed with the reality of college and paying for an education. For many students, each year, they are the recipient of such a catastrophic experience. Unfortunately, I was the victim of this heart–rending incident; imagine a society where financial aid and student loans did not exist, but instead, the necessity of these financial programs would diminish because college tuition would be free. My speech will be divided into two parts. The first part of my speech will be the problems of college tuition many students face. The second part will be solutions to these problems. At the end of my speech, I hope to persuade my fellow classmates that college tuition should be free. I.For many students, the stress that Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Genetically Modified Organisms is the process by which food is being altered and grown in ways that do not occur naturally. Farming practices have been altered from organic to majorly GMO, in order to accommodate this highly profitable industry as well as the high demand by the citizens. GMOs allow food to grow faster, act as a bug repellant, and also cause the product to grow bigger in size in a short time span. • 15. Climate Change Persuasive Climate Change: Persuasive Essay Climate change has been discussed a plethora of times in the science community. Only a small number of scientists believe that climate change is not happening. Most scientists today agree that climate change is indeed happening and its causing extreme damage to the planet. What is majorly causing climate change is the burning of fossil fuels. The gasses released are affecting the atmosphere creating a greenhouse like effect on the earth which makes the temperature of the earth rise. Climate change is extremely affecting Polar Bears and other animals close to extinction that crucially rely on sea ice. The study of climate change spans many academic disciplines across the natural and social sciences, humanities, and engineering. Existing research finds that there is very strong evidence that the climate is changing, that these changes are driven primarily by human activity, and that the changes will have very large impact on natural and social systems." Due to the rising temperatures of the earth's surface, the sea ice has been melting. Sea ice happens to be a crucial factor for Polar Bears. The article "Climate change threatens polar bear populations: a stochastic demographic analysis" written by Hunter, Caswell, Runge, Regehr, Amstrup, and Strirling, states that sea ice has been decreasing, "The extent of perennial sea ice in the Arctic has been declining since 1979 at an average rate of 11.3% per decade (Stroeve et al. 2007, Perovich and Richter–Menge 2009). The summer minimum sea ice extent in 2005 set a new record, which was broken again in 2007; the ice extent in 2008 was the second Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Conclusion For Universal Health Care Premise 1: A universal health care system would reduce health care costs. Premise 2: Universal health care improves overall public health. Premise 3: Universal health care would encourage patients to practice preventive medicine. Premise 4: Healthcare would be affordable to all citizens if made universal. Conclusion: Therefore, implementing a universal health care system in our society would greatly benefit everyone. Reducing Health Costs With a universal health care system, the government would have control and run the system, therefore, the cost of healthcare would be regulated. "A universal health care system would be regulated by the government, so costs overall would be reduced with a more monitored system to reduce inflated costs for tests, hospital stays and procedures." (Ireland, 2017) When you regulate medical costs, the cost of medical coverage, supplies, and prescriptions are more affordable for everyone. Improved Overall Public Health With universal healthcare being more affordable, everyone gets equal access to medical health care. This can lead to a reduction in the number of medical issues suffered by our society. According to Howard K. Koh, M.D., "we can 'absolutely' expect for overall public health to improve if we provide quality, affordable health care coverage for all Americans." (Cohen, 2009) This means people would miss less work and/or school. This also means that more people could be seen for some of the most basic ailments such as colds, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The officers that are either responsible or involved in the altercation are still not being held accountable or stepping up to the plate and admitting their faults. Society would not view all police officers or agency as untrustworthy or incapable of providing protection to all ethnicities if the officers would be charged or just simply punished for their actions.
