4. HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS
1. Get the prices of the goods that you need to quote for from your
suppliers.
2. Decide on the mark up you want to make on the goods when selling
them to customers
3. Put in % cost for inputs such as transport, V AT, Import Duty etc. in a
Costing Template
4. Put details of your suppliers’ prices in a Calculating Spreadsheet
5. The quotation is instantly given in another spreadsheet.
6. Transfer this information into a word document with your company’s
letterhead
7. Do a few adjustments to the word document
8. Issue your quotation to your customers
