On January 4, 2013, the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce held a
ribbon cutting at HealthSource Chiropractic & Progressive Rehabilitation at
1381 Leesburg Avenue in Washington Court House.
While HealthSource Chiropractic is part of a franchise with nearly 400
offices, HealthSource of Washington C.H. is solely owned and operated by
Dr. Don Maple. Dr. Maple is one of only 38 chiropractors in the entire state
to be certified by the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. In
addition, he is one of the few, if not only chiropractor in the state to be
certified by the Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute to do Aquatic
Orthopedics. Dr. Maple has relocated his Mt. Sterling office to Washington
C.H. and brings the closeness of a small town doctor with over 21 years of
experience and multiple services to this area. He has worked extensively
with the medical community to provide quality care by blending chiropractic,
physical rehabilitation, medical massage, and aquatic therapy in a way not
often seen. Dr. Maple is on most major medical plans as well as accepts
Workers Compensation. Attorneys often refer patients to him for Permanent
Impairment ratings. He has seen numerous types of injuries, from the
simple pulled back to the more severe cases requiring surgery. He works
with the surgeon to get them the care that they need and will do the post
surgical rehabilitation to get them back to work as soon as possible. Many
injured workers have found success with Dr. Maple as he is very familiar
with navigating the Workers Compensation system to get injured workers
the care that they need.
Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday;
Wednesday 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For an
appointment, please call 333-5473.
We wish Dr. Maple and his staff continued success at this new location.

Health care reform update: exchanges
As an employer, you've heard a lot about health care reform. You probably have questions about what it means
for you and your employees.
7
8. To help answer your questions, we're providing a series of articles in the coming months. Each article will
discuss the latest in health care reform and highlight steps you may need to take to comply with the law.
Health insurance exchanges
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of health insurance exchanges. They will be run by the state or
federal government. Health care companies on the exchange offer their own set of plans which include a basic
set of essential health benefits. Small businesses can shop, compare plays side by side and pick the plan that
works best for them.
Enrollment in exchanges is scheduled to start in October 2013 and coverage should begin in January 2014. If
you have questions about the exchange, you will be able to contact an exchange call center and talk with a live
person who can answer your questions about your health insurance options.
To make buying health care coverage more affordable, you may qualify for a subsidy or tax credit so you pay
less for coverage. Contact the exchange call center for more details.
Flexible spending account change
Starting on January 1, 2013, employees who have flexible spending accounts (FSAs) must limit their
contributions to $2,500 a year.
Be sure to visit anthem.com/healthcarereform to stay up to date on everything related to health care
reform.

New Wireless Home Security and Automation Technology On The Way in 2013
It may sound a little like the futuristic cartoon series The Jetsons, but imagine
sitting at work and getting a call from that plumber or pet-sitter whose services
you need at your home... then being able to see them on your porch, let them in,
and even watch them working... all by picking up your smartphone.
AT&T indicated last year that the communications giant would launch wireless
home security and automation services, and just announced in January that
these services will become available in March. The new services, offered under
the name AT&T Digital Life, will be available in eight U.S. cities to start, with as
many as 50 more cities being added into the mix in 2013. So far, Ohioans can
keep their hopes up for early access to this new technology; AT&T has not yet
8
9. indicated which cities will be included in the initial Digital Life service areas.
The unique, all-digital wireless-based home security and automation services will
allow customers to control cameras, door locks, window sensors, thermostats,
appliances, lighting controls and more, all from a smartphone, tablet or PC -
regardless of the customer's wireless carrier or broadband provider.
"The home security and automation market is about to expand significantly,"
said Roger Entner, Founder and Lead Analyst of Recon Analytics. "As the
capabilities and usability of home automation solutions are dramatically
improving, installation becoming easier, the value proposition is becoming a lot
more attractive to consumers. Not only can consumers protect their home
against intruders, but with these new solutions they can save energy, keep an
eye on what is going on in their home even when they are away and protect
against costly accidents in their home."
