Vietnam Myth
Lac Long Quan, the son of a mountain god and a water dragon, fell in love with a beautiful fairy, Au
Co. He turned himself into a handsome young man, and married Au Co. An year later, Au Co laid
him 100 eggs. The eggs hatched and matured into young men soon enough.
Lac Long Quan stayed in his water palace, while Au Co lived on land with her 100 sons. Au Co
pinned for her husband, but remained separated. It became obvious that they should now
separate. So half of the sons followed back to land with their mother, and the left 50 stayed and
kept their father company. This created a race, of which divides the dragon and the fairy
grandchildren.
