Solution
If the calibration of measurement device is very close to the true value of a physical quantity
then it is said to be accurate. Suppose if the true value of length is 5.67cm, if it is measured as
5.65cm, and as 5.64cm in these two 5.65cm is accurate one.
The limit of resolution upto which we can measure accurately is called precision. More the
resolution of the instrument more the precision. If a scale is calibrated in centimetres then we can
measure using that scale upto centimetre only accurately.if the scale is in mms then we can
measure upto mms accurately.
