3. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)
Technology:
• It’s a small device that is consisting of a small chip and an
antenna.
• It has been available for more then 50 years.
• RFID devices serve the same purpose as a bar code or
magnetic strip.
For example onm the back of the credit card or a ATM card.
It provides a unique identifier for the object.
The device doesn’t nead to positioned closely to the scanner
unlike bar code and magnetic strips.

4. How does an RFID chip work?
• This system consist of three components.
• RFID chip.
• RFID reader.
• RFID antenna.
RFID chips contain an integrated circuit connected to an antenna to
be able to communicate with the reader or interrogator.
Reador converts the analogue radio waves to digital file which can use
by a computer. The information can be collected from the tags is being
transferred to a computer where the data can be processed.

5. IMPLANTS IN LIVING BEINGS.
• 1.LIVING BODIES:
RFID device can be implanted in a living body such as animals and
humans under the skin.
The chip is rise sized and interested with a special type of needle
called hypodermic. they need to encased in special kind of casing that
will not irritate with living tissues. the casing must be also transparent
to the scanning radio-frequency beam, which is used to activate the
chip.
One problem with RFID placed in living bodies, they could moved
around the skin.
This is avoided by using a special material that lets the surrounding
tissues bond with it.
A security firm in Mexico uses RFID chips to track kidnapped children
by implanting them in the child or their clothes.

7. HOSPITAL WRISTBANDS
• Another use of RFID chips is as hospital wristbands that store the
patient information the treatment that their on and other information
is critical to surgery and well being of the patient.
IN CLUBS:
• In a beach club in Barcelona have taken the initiative implant RFID
chips into their customer in order for them to improve that their
members and to pay for items with out having to carry your wallet.

8. Logistics
• RFID chips are mostly used by packaging companies to track
products and make sure they reach their proper destination also
so that the customer can track were his stuff is and how long
would it take for it to be delivered.
Black market Tracking
• An other tracking use of the RFID chips is to use them the track
valuable stuff from endangered species to really valuable stuff.

9. FOR ANIMALS
• THE common use of technology is to embed Rfid chips in pet
collars with tracking information in case they get lost.
• The chips also store the animal information as the vaccine and
checkups they had as well as their owners information.
• RFID chips also used as a key for the animal to go through a
pet door the door would scan with a specific RFID chip and until
it reads it wont open denying access to wild animals and
everyone else capable of fitting trough the door.

11. Smart Mirrors
• A smart mirror includes RFID technology that read the RFID
tags in the clothing your are trying on to provide things that
match with that outfit as well as commenting on your choices
the smart mirror would also display product information.

12. In Credit Cards and passports:
• RFID can also implemented in credit cards measure to protect
in from being use improperly or forged
• An RFID can also be placed in your passport to improve
efficiency in check ins and security control similar to credit
cards.
