Boot Configuration – Wizard
• When turn on IdeaHub at the first time, the touchscreen will instruct user by Wizard, please follow the following step to setup IdeaHub.
• If the IdeaHub is started for the first time or is restored to factory settings, the wizard screen is displayed by default.

(OPTIONAL)Pair Ideashare Key with IdeaHub
• Skip STEP 5 – Set Registration Server Parameters.
• STEP 6 – Connect the Ideashare Key to the USB port of the IdeaHub, make sure the pairing is successful.
• Then connect the Ideashare Key to the USB port of the laptop, double click on IdeaShare Key.exe showed in figure 2 .
• After the connection is success, press on the ideashare Key for projection.

Querying the IdeaHub Version
• On lower right corner of the touchscreen main page , choose Settings > Device Info to obtain the HUAWEI IdeaHub version, as
shown in the Figure below.
• If the software version is not the latest version (IdeaHub Pro 21.0.100) ,please check the following pages for IdeaHub upgrade.

Download the IdeaHub Software Packet First

Logging In to the Web Interface
1. Connect your laptop to the same network of IdeaHub.
2. Open the browser on your laptop, enter https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (the ip address should be the your IdeaHub ip address) in the
address box, and press Enter.
3. Enter the user name and password (default username: admin, password: Change_Me).
You could also save the software packet to your USB flash drive, insert it to the USB port of IdeaHub.
Open the browser on your IdeaHub and enter 127.0.0.1 in the address bar and press enter to login to the web interface. And
upload the software packet from the flash drive to upgrade the IdeaHub.
Notice:you can connect with
IdeaHub WIFI Hotpot, and
open IdeaHub IP address in
your computer brower to
update.

Logging In to the Web Interface
After login , the webpage will ask you to change default username and password. Change the passwords of the admin user at your first login.
Keep the new passwords safe.
• If you forget your password, restore the endpoint to its factory defaults to get the preset password. After the default settings are restored, all settings of the
IdeaHub are restored to the default values, and some information saved in the IdeaHub may be lost, such as the site information, call records, and logs
saved in the address book.
• When the IdeaHub is running properly, press and hold the RESET button on the side panel of the endpoint for 10 seconds to restore it to factory settings.
Notice: Pls put API password
is same with user password.

Upgrade on the Web Interface
On the web interface of the HUAWEI IdeaHub, you can import the resource file of the HUAWEI IdeaHub software for
upgrade. The procedure is as follows:
1. On the web interface, choose Maintenance > Upgrade.
2. Click , and select the upgrade resource file cloudlink.dat.

3. Click Upload. The upgrade progress bar is displayed, as shown in the following figure.
4. The update takes about 10 minutes. After the updates are downloaded and verified, the message "The file is downloaded. Restart the
endpoint to complete the upgrade" is displayed on the web interface.
• If you select Cancel, the IdeaHub deletes all the downloaded upgrade files and the upgrade is stopped.
• If you select Later, the IdeaHub does not restart. The upgrade will be completed after the IdeaHub restarts.
Alternatively, when the IdeaHub triggers the upgrade again, a dialog box is displayed, indicating that the download is complete and you need to select again.
• If you select OK, the IdeaHub restarts to complete the upgrade.
• If you do not perform any operation, the IdeaHub automatically restarts in 180 seconds.
Ensure that the network is connected during the upgrade.

• On lower right corner of the touchscreen main page , choose Settings > Advanced > Registration.
• On the Registration page, select a Activation Mode based on the service scenarios.
Activation Code:Please enter the 12 digit code.

Setting the Administrator Password
After an administrator password is set, you need to enter it to access the Advanced screen of the touchscreen. For security purposes, it is recommended that you change
the password at the first login and regularly change the password afterwards.
1. In the lower right corner of the homepage on the touchscreen, choose Settings > Advanced > Admin Password.
2. If this is the first time to set the Administrator password, there is no need to enter the old password. Just enter the new password, and confirm the new password.
Then, click Save.
After the endpoint is started for the first time or restored to factory settings, no password is required for accessing the Advanced screen of the touchscreen. In this case,
you only need to enter a new password and confirm it to change the password.

Downloading App APK via Browser
• On the Apps page, tap Browser to search for and download apps.
• Alternatively, import the installation package to the large screen using a USB flash drive. Then tap File Manager, find the desired
installation package, and install the app.
• You may encounter browser compatibility issues on some websites. If video playback problems occur in the preset browser, change a
browser and try again.

Configuring App Management
After the configuration is complete, you can add, delete and manage apps.
1. In the lower right corner of the homepage on the touchscreen, choose Settings > Advanced > App Management.
2. Configure permission management and application permission as prompted.

Setting Intelligent Tracking Parameters
Choose Settings > Camera > Intelligent Tracking in the lower right corner of the homepage to enable the intelligent tracking function. If
you have also enabled Track when not in conference, the intelligent tracking function is supported before users join a meeting.
• Voice Tracking: The large screen uses voice tracking and face
detection algorithms to detect and locate the sound source,
automatically displays the close-up image of the speaker, and keeps
the speaker in the middle of the image.
• AutoFrame: With the AutoFrame function, the large screen
automatically adjusts its camera based on the number and positions of
attendees to take the optimal panoramic view.
IdeaHub S does not support Voice Tracking mode.

Setting Acoustic Baffle Parameters
• The acoustic baffle function shields the meeting from background noise interference. Once enabled the device automatically creates
a sound wall and blocks the sound outside the invisible wall so that remote sites can hear only voice of sites who are within the wall.
• Choose Settings > Advanced > Acoustic Baffle in the lower right corner of the home page to enable the acoustic baffle function.
Acoustic baffle is not supported when:
• An external microphone is connected to the large screen.
• The Audio protocol is set to AAC-LD and Audio channels is set to Two.

• Big: Sound Pickup Angle is 80 degrees

After the configuration is complete, you can save the whiteboard drawings or annotations locally.
1. In the lower right corner of the touchscreen, choose Settings > Advanced > Whiteboard Local Storage.

• For users outside the Chinese mainland, they can set the Gmail as the default email.

(Optional) Configuring OPS
The Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) is an optional hardware for the large screen. The OPS has a built-in Windows 10 Enterprise
operating system and can be automatically activated after being powered on and connected to a network

(OPS) Enabling Windows 3rd-Party Application Permissions
After this function is enabled, third-party applications in the OPS Windows can invoke the built-in camera and microphone of the IdeaHub.
1. On the touchscreen, choose Settings > Advanced > Windows 3rd-Party Application Permissions.
2. Enable Windows 3rd-Party Application Permissions.
• This parameter is displayed only when the OPS is installed on the endpoint. If the OPS is not installed, this parameter is not displayed on the Advanced page.
• Using the built-in microphone: Choose Settings > Advanced > Windows 3rd-Party Application Permissions in the lower right corner of the home screen
and tap Open.
• Using the software keyboard: In Windows, choose Setting > Devices > Typing > Touch keyboard and enable Show the touch keyboard when not in tablet
mode and there's no keyboard attached toggle.
• Security settings: Choose Settings > Advanced > Admin Password in the lower right corner of the home page and set a password, which is required for
accessing advanced settings in both Android or Windows mode.

Setting Site name
Specifies the local site. This name will also be used in the meeting.
1. Open the browser on the touchscreen, enter the IdeaHub IP address in the address box, and press Enter.
Enter the username and password set by the administrator. If this is the first time to login, refer to the login instructions on slides 7–8.
2. Choose System Settings > Wizard.
Set the system time to your actual local time to ensure appropriate
use of system functions, such as joining conferences on time and
recording accurate event occurrence time in logs.

Setting Answer Mode
Choose System Settings > Conference and click the General tab.
Specifies how your endpoint handles incoming calls.
• Manual: Your endpoint prompts you to handle a call
when the call comes in.
• Auto: Your endpoint automatically answers incoming
calls when not being used in a conference.

Choose System Settings > Application > Wireless Projection.
Configuring Projection
• Simple: The projection code contains only digits.
• Complex: The projection code contains only letters.
• Auto: The EUA determines whether the network is a public
network based on the IP address of the endpoint. If the
network is a public network, the complex mode is used. If
the network is a private network, the simple mode is used.
Specifies the validity period of the projection code in offline
mode.
