Héctor Fernández was a postdoctoral research scientist member of the Software and Services Research Group at VU University Amsterdam. He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Rennes 1 in 2012 in the area of service-oriented computing, and in particular on decentralizing the workflow coordination on multiple and heterogeneous distributed infrastructures. In the previous years, Hector's joined the HPC research group at VU University Amsterdam as postdoctorate. During this period of time, he investigated, designed and implemented a novel autoscaling system for a cloud platform called ConPaaS.
