3. What have I learnt?
• The main thing I have learnt is that the
three pages must flow otherwise the
pages become disconnected and it
does not have the effect of an actual
magazine.
• Another thing I learnt is that
Photography is key, without a good
range of top quality photographs the
magazine just won’t look professional.
• I also developed an understanding and
appreciation for how long it takes to
modify and create a good quality
magazine. I have also come to
appreciate the amount of work actual
magazine producers and editors put
into one copy of a magazine.
4. What I have learnt?
• I have also learnt how to use fireworks in a
more professional way and what all the tools
and equipment pieces are for.
• One other thing I have learnt from
experiencing the period between the
preliminary task and the final task is that the
colour scheme really has an impact it is
gender bias. For instance my target audience
is mostly women so having a pinky/ purple
colour scheme enhanced the appeal to the
female gender.
• Lastly I gathered a greater awareness of how
consideration of the target audience is
essential. It determines decisions made
during the production process. In my media
product the target audience was young Asian
women. Therefore my magazine had to have a
slight feminine slant on colour and even fonts.
It also affected post production during the
marketing campaign I chose to market it
through social networking sites to hone in my
target audience.
