2. Well, character modelling has always been the centre of
my interest. Whenever I play game, the thing that I
observe the most is the characters inside it. I always
wonder how the games designers make those complex
and massive characters. So, that’s why I chose to model a
character since I enjoy doing concept art and working with
3D software. Also, character modelling gives your mind a
new edge, gives you the way of thinking about wide ideas.
3. My character is the ancient Greek Monster called Minotaur. It’s
basically a mix of bull’s head and a human body. It is supposed to be
hench, muscular and always have an angry look on its face. The
character is supposed to be a villain, not a hero.
This was not my first choice as I had a lot in my head going
through… I chose it because it was an excellent option to start with.
Since, I haven’t done any character modelling before and a lot of
other minotuar models, made by different artists and modellers, are
out there that are way better than mine. But, I’m a beginner in this
phase, yet I think I’ve done a good job in making it, considering I’ve
never had any experience in character modelling before.
4. I started off with doing research, looking at the characters
on the internet… evidenced my research in powerpoint.
Like, I mentioned before,The Minotaur was not my first
option so, I sketched out many other characters that have
also been evidenced in the presentation. Looking at what I
had done by that time and experimenting with different
characters, I reached the conclusion that I’ll get along with
the Minotaur.
In the following slides, I’ve shown what I’ve done so far.
5. I started off with modelling a very basic human body

15. Here’s the pre-final model.
It still needs
finishing, details/textures,
facial features and rigging.
I will upload the next half when my FMP
is completed and ready to present.
