Jon Yongfook Cockle describes himself as a âdigital
nomadâ. A UK-born tech entrepreneur, Cockle began
his career in Japan, working at an assortment of
boutique agencies as well as Dentsu over the best part
of a decade.
Today, he relishes being able to work remotely without
ties to any particular place, and has divided most of the
past year between a wide range of locations across
Southeast Asia.
Coockle is man behind a couple of startups; one of
them is Pitchpigeon, a press release distribution
platform for tech companies, and the recipe-sharing
website Open Source Food, which Time named among
the 50 best websites of 2008 and was subsequently
acquired by Tsavo Media. He is the author of the
