United Kingdom requested to UN to end the British control over Trans Jordan. After approval King Abdullah became the first ruler of Jordan. Jordan gained territory after the war . They gained control over West Bank but as a consequence the refugees were placed in the West Bank and now make up most of Jordan’s Population. Palestinian Arab assassinated King Abdullah I in Mosque of Omar. Jordan fought against Israel along with Syria, Egypt and Iraq. Due to this war they lost control over the West Bank and East Jerusalem to Israel. Due to the war the Palestinian population increased. Jordan negotiated an end to hostages in Israel and signed in July 25, 1944. And the Israel-Jordan peace treaty started in October 26, 1944. Until now Jordan kept peace with all it’s neighbors. In November 9, 2005 Jordan got 3 bombing at hotels in Amman. 57 died and 115 were wounded. Group called Al-Qaeda lead by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in Iraq was responsible. 38 year old man took a pistol in the capital of Amman and shot Western Tourists. One British man was killed and 5 other tourists were wounded, including a Jordanian tourist guard.
