Managed nineteen direct reports including hiring, coaching/development, performance evaluations and salary
administration responsible for network/information security, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, vulnerability
assessment/penetration testing, incident response, I.T. corporate policy enforcement, Litigation Hold Notices
(eDiscovery), I.T. procurement, annual budget and monthly reconciliation, telecommunication invoice

Managed a team responsible for Information/Network Security, Wide Area Network, Local Area Network,
Storage Area Network, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Corporate Telecommunications, including Call Center
Support, in a 24x7 environment.
• Sponsored the replacement of a point-to-point T1 / DS3 wide area network (WAN) to a combination of
SONET and MPLS, resulting in significant performance improvement and reliability to the clients.
• Replaced/upgraded WAN, LAN and SAN routers and switches from multiple vendors to a single vendor
(Cisco) with centralized management capabilities. This resulted in improved performance, significantly
reduced downtime, eliminated the need for 36 devices and a provided a strategic plan for the future.
• Rebuilt / upgraded the technical personnel of the team through terminations, new hires, transfers and a
significant investment in professional training courses.
• Identified multiple customer and internal client issues, cut-offs, poor circuit utilization and system
