1. Steps of the Blog Lesson.
In this blog we shall practice vocabulary related to travelling, practice reading,
speaking, writing skills.
STEP 1
Go to the site www.travel.ru/
Do vocabulary exercises.
Match the words.
Consult online dictionary.
STEP 2
The students have chosen the advantages and disadvantages of travelling.
Travelling by train, plane, ship.
Discuss the following questions:
- Is modern life possible without travelling?
- What is the best way to understand it?
- What means of transport do people use?
- On what does it depend?
STEP 3
Go to the www.fco.gov.uk/travel and do online exercises (with the words of active vocabulary).
Activate the following words : to take off, to take pictures, to take for, to take over (use them
in the situation of your own).
Watch Video –“ The places of interests in our country and abroad”.
Say your impressions on the film.
Share personal experience.
STEP 4 (homework)
Read your handout “Health Tips for Travellers” and do activities. Pay attention to the passages-
what to eat when you travel, relaxing when you travel, how exciting travel is , how to stay
healthy when you travel.
STEP 5
Advertise a holiday in winter, summer, spring, autumn.
Introduce the best wishes.
Give advise how to spend vacations.
