2. “ In the spring of 2003, three young filmmakers traveled to Africa in
search of a story. What started out as a filmmaking adventure
transformed into much more when these boys from Southern California
discovered a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them, a tragedy
where children are both the weapons and the victims.
After returning to the States, they created the documentary quot;Invisible
Children: Rough Cut,quot; a film that exposes the tragic realities of northern
Uganda’s night commuters and child soldiers. ”

•The Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) was formed in
1987 by Alice Lakwena.
•Joseph Kony leads LRA after Lakwena is exiled.
•Rebels resorted to abducting children to get more
soldiers.
•Residents moved to overcrowded camps by
government.
• International Pressure and desired peace brings
forth Juba Peace Talks
•Kony fails to sign Final Peace Agreement (FPA)
numerous times.
4. Facts
•Estimated more that 90% of the LRA troops were
abducted as children
•1.8 Million people displaced from their homes
•LRA murdered over 600 and abducted more than
160 children just as a retaliatory attack against the
people of DR Congo.
