• The best way to show what I learnt in this
course is to use one of the web 2.0 tools,
Slideshare, to tell you my opinions of this
course (

2. I like web 2.0 most…
• Most of the tools are free!
• I can do it myself, no need to wait for the
help of school IT technicians
• It support multi-media, i.e. youtube, imeem
• It can support teaching, i.e. mindmeister
• It invites feedbacks and sharings, i.e. blog,
rss, xanga
• The most important is students like it, they
enjoy learn by these tools!

3. I use them in my work…
• Xanga: as the main platform to publish
library news
• Slideshare: promote new books and
library activities
• Scribd: to upload lib notes to xanga for
students to download
• Youtube: promote new book “the Last
Lecture”

4. I used them in my work…
• Xtimeline / dipity: suggest them to the english
teacher for making timeline when teaching how
to write a story
• Mindmeister: to teach mindmap
• Protopage: personal use to receive RSS of NBA,
teamtalk and other my favourite columists
• Foodari: suggest it to the home economics
teacher, so she can ask student to do an online
project
• In future, podcast / videocast will be used to
promote new books and library activities

5. My comments of using blog to organise profolio…
• Good:
• 1)we will not do the assignment at the last
minutes as there is dates shown in the
blog
• 2)Can use TAG to organise our work
• 3)Can combined different formats of
materials into single web platform
• 4)No need to print out
• 5)Can share our work with all the others

• Bad:
• 1)Difficult for those who without IT skills
• 2)Those infomation from books and
printed materials must be scanned in
order to post into web
• 3)Some tools have problem to convert
Chinese(Slideshare, slideboom…)

7. My experience & comparison:
• Slideshare VS slideboom:
• Although both have problem in converting
Chinese, slideshare have better technical
support than slideboom since technicians of
slideboom failed to help me
• Xtimeline VS Digity:
• Digity is better than xtimeline because the
interface of digity is more attractive and you can
insert video directly into digity

8. My experience & comparison:
• Scribd:
• Good tool to upload different kind of document.
It’s fast! And there is “search” function.
• Xanga VS Blog:
• My students like xanga more as they can add
eprops, the appearance is more beautiful…
• Protopage:
• Great! I used it to organise all the news I am
interested.

9. Two websites you must visit!
• 1)go2web20.net : I visit it frequently to see
whether there is new tool which I can used
in my library xanga or for teaching
• 2)My library xanga : You can see how I
use web 2.0 tools in my school library!
