12. Dimensioning system variables are used to control the appearance of dimensions. The variable can be set on the command line or through the Dimension Style (DDIM) dialogue boxes.
13. A dimension style can be used to manage all the dimensioning system variable easily and quickly. It consist of a named group of dimension setting that determines that appearances of the dimension. By creating styles the user can quickly and easily set all relevant dimensioning system variable and control the layout and appearances of any dimension. To select a dimension style the user needs to open the Dimension Style dialog boxes by clicking Dimension Style from the dimension toolbar or data from the pull down menu, then choose a style from the current list and then click OK. The setting for the style chosen will be applied on the subsequent dimensions.
19. Determine which dimension style family member is currently displayed in the dialog box. To specify the setting for a dimension style family, select the family member option the dimension on such as Parent, Linear or Radial, make changes to the dimension style and the choose save.
