2. AIR POLLUTION
Humans cause air pollution mainly through our constant use of,
fuels, transportation, and electricity.
Majority of the air pollution we cause results from the burning of
fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, natural gas, and gasoline in order to
produce electricity and power our vehicles and homes.
3. AIR POLLUTION
One source of air pollution would be Sulfur Dioxide (SO2). SO2
causes acid rain which is very damaging to trees, lakes, and soil.
Acid rain also damages statues, building, and monuments.
4. AIR POLLUTION
Ozone(O3) will secondary pollutant formed by chemical reaction
of VOCs and NOx in the presence of sunlight. It can damages
crops, forests, and other vegetation. And it also have some
negative impact on rubber, fabric, and other materials.
5.
6. PLASTIC POLLUTION
According to
plastic-pollution.org over 8
million tons of plastic end up in
our oceans every year. Plastic
water bottles are filled with many
chemicals that get released in the
ocean and affect aquatic life for
many years.
7. Plastic in the ocean breaks down into tiny segments that pieces of
plastic from a one liter bottle could very well show up on every mile
of beach throughout the world.
8. It ta kes 500-1,000 years for plastic to degrade.
9. WATER POLLUTION
Chemicals and heavy metals from industrial and municipal wastewater pollute
waterways. These contaminants are extremely toxic to marine life. This reduces the
organisms lifespan greatly as well as their ability to reproduce.C
10. As per U.S. EPA estimates, every year in the U.S, 1.2 trillion
gallons of sewage from household, industry and restaurants is
dumped in to U.S. water annually.
11. SOIL POLLUTION
When soil pollution in large amounts, these heavy
metals in soil may let the soil unable to support plant
life.
12. At the same time, soil pollution naturally contributes to air pollution by releasing
volatile compounds into the atmosphere. If toxic chemicals leach into groundwater or if
contaminated runoff or sewage, which can contain dangerous heavy metals, reaches
streams, lakes, or oceans,it also can destroy the ecological balance in water.
13.
14. Nutrients added to the soil is one of the largest sources of soil pollution. It causes a wide
variety of problems, such as burned roots, stunted growth, and mineral deficiencies.
And it is very difficult to remove from the soil, so this is a pernicious problem.
