4. Add title of the quiz or homework, etc.
Add any special instructions for completing
the assignment: Use only numbers and not
words; Spelling counts; You may use your
textbook as reference; You may not use a
calculator; Do your best; etc.
5. Begin creating your questions/problems.
The icons on the right:
◦ Pencil = Allows you to edit your question
◦ Double squares = Adds a copy of your question
◦ Trash can = Delete your question
◦ “Help Text” = additional information to aid the
student in answering the question.
6. Select what kind of answer you’re looking for:
i.e. “Text”; “Multiple Choice”; etc.
Add in possible answers, if multiple choice
question.
Determine if this question will be required or
not.
Click “Done” when you are finished.
Continue adding questions/problems.
7. To add more questions, use the pull down
menu at the top left: “+Add Item”. It will give
you a choice of the type of item you would
like to add.
If you wish, select art to go with your form:
Click on “Theme”. Click on “Apply” to save
your choice.
You can see your form in it’s finished state by
clicking on the prompt at the bottom of your
screen.
8. DON’T FORGET TO “SAVE”.
You are now ready to email the form. Do not
“Share” the form, as you will allow the
recipient to make changes to your questions
and/or see the answers.
Answer the form yourself. Your responses
will be used as the answer key.
As your students complete the form you’ll see
their responses on a spreadsheet.
9. At the spreadsheet, pull down the “Tools”
menu and select “Script Gallery”
Search for “Flubaroo”
Select “Install” (When it has been installed,
you’ll see a green colored confirmation.)
Close that pop-up window.
10. To grade your responses: Simply select
“Flubaroo” and then “Grade Assignment”
You will first be asked to authorize the use of
the add-on. Then, you’ll be asked the weight
of each specific question/problem. Lastly,
you’ll be asked which respondent’s responses
to use as the answer key (yours).
11. Flubaroo will give you a new spreadsheet.
You can select to email the grades to each
student. (Flubaroo uses the email addresses
used to log on to the form.)
Notes: Flubaroo does not attach itself to your
form very well. You may have to reinstall it if
you go back to the form later. It’s best to
install it when you are ready to grade the
assignment.
For text answers: Flubaroo accepts both
upper and lower case.
