2. How to Avoid Clogged Drains in Your Bathroom
One of homeowners’ nightmares is when
their bathroom drain gets clogged, whether
it’s the toilet bowl, the sink, or the bathtub.
When this happens, the water will not pass
through and no one may be able to use the
bathroom temporarily.
While there are drain machines and tools
that can be used to solve this bathroom
concern, it is still better and more convenient
to simply prevent the problem from
happening to avoid trouble from calling drain
cleaning professionals or actually fixing the problem.
Here are some ways on how to avoid clogged drains in the bathroom.
1. Avoid throwing and flushing foreign objects down the toilet including tissue
paper, sanitary napkins, empty bottles, sachets, and similar stuff. They may
go down the toilet drain when you flush them with much water, but
eventually, they will clog the pipes and will cause drain blockage. Instead,
put a trash can inside your bathroom where you can throw away bathroom
litters and used bottles of shampoos and conditioners.
2. Always clean your bathtub. Pick up loose pieces of hair that may have fallen
during shower time, instead of letting them go down the drain. Again, even
if they seem small and irrelevant and can easily pass through the pipes,
when they accumulate over time, they will cause clogged drains.
3. Avoid washing dishes with oil and grease in the bathroom sink. These
elements, when they get through the drain, can solidify in the pipes,
especially when cold water passes. Eventually, the solidified fats and grease
can block the pipes and drainage and will block the water’s passage.
These are just some simple ways on how to prevent clogged drains in your
bathroom. As the adage goes, prevention is always better than cure. As long as
3. you and your family members remain responsible in using the bathroom, you can
be sure that clogged drains and other bathroom problems can be avoided.
