THE STATUE OF LIBERTY
The statue of liberty is an icon of freedom and the symbol of the United States. It is a welcoming signal to immigrants arriving from abroad.
The statue was designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886.It was a gift from France to the United States.
The statue of liberty has the height of 46 meters.   It is located on the Liberty Island, the middle of New York harbor which is  in Manhattan, New York city
The Statue of Liberty is a great symbol of freedom for the world! Every July 4th we celebrate freedom with a fireworks show!
She holds a torch and tablet upon which is inscribed the date of American Declaration of Independence (July 4, 1776).
The seven spikes on the crown represent the seven oceans and the seven continents of the world, indicating the universal concept of liberty.
. The cost of building the statue and pedestal amounted to over $500,000, over $10m in today’s money.
