Phare Ponleu Selpak (PPS) is an arts organization founded in 1994 in
Battambang
PPS works and supports to vulnerable children and youths and their families
PPS holistic approaches are artistic and cultural, Educational and Social Service
PPS signed MoU with:
The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts
The Ministry of Social Affaire Veteran and Youth-rehabilitation
The Battambang Provincial Department of Education Youth and Sports

Motorcycling tour (road exhibition)
Theatre performance

Masculinity, violence against women and gender equality campaign
through visual and creative arts supported by PyD:

Live painting
Awareness theatre performance
6. Target
Visual Arts exhibition:
Artists, NGOs staff, Governmental officer, high-school
and university students (15 to 55)
Theatre performance:
All people (15 to 60)
o The intervention will be reached to an estimate of 60000
people.
7. Results
30000 men (include artists
and performers involved in the
intervention) will increased
their knowledge on gender
equality and masculinity while
attending the intervention.

9. Calendar of implementation
Visual and Creative Arts for Change based on fund received (by the
way it will held within the period of one year (March 2012 to February
2013).
Masculinity, violence against women and gender equality campaign
through visual and creative arts supported by PyD will be held from
March to April 30th, 2011 for the performance and exhibition to:
Kratie
Stung Treng
Mondulkiri
Rattanakiri
10. M&E
The intervention led by project coordinator, thus the monitoring tool will
be developed by him/her. The followings can be used as monitoring
tool:
Visual Arts exhibition:
Attendance list of the participants (quantity).
Written and drawings of the participants described on their
knowledge about the issues while they attended the quiz (quality).
Report about the exhibition with pictures attached
Awareness theatre performance:
Pre and Post assessment on the knowledge about the issues
concerned (quality).
Report about the performance
Note: The evaluation will be done by the external evaluator.
11. Costs
The intervention will be cost as followings:
Visual art exhibition:
Exhibition will be ranged from 40000 USD to 80000 USD
Awareness theatre performance
Awareness theatre performance will be ranged from 50000 USD to
100000 USD
