Concept Map
ď‚— The first step of writing a book is coming up with
  an idea
ď‚— One of the best strategies for brainstorming and
developing ideas is by concept mapping
ď‚— There is an example of a concept map below.

                                                   Exit
Outline
ď‚— After choosing a topic and generating enough
ideas relating to that topic it is a good idea to
plan out what order things are going to happen in
  your book
ď‚— A good way to organize the general plot and
order of details for your book is by creating an
  outline
ď‚— Mywebspiration.com is a great site for making
  concept maps and outlines

                                                 Exit
Draft
ď‚— Once you have the general outline for your story
it is time to start writing.
ď‚— While writing your first draft be sure to include
details but remember that you can change things
  later if necessary.

                                                 Exit
Storyboard
ď‚— After having your story written you must make
sure that the text and pictures are going to fit in
the number of pages for your book.
ď‚— Storyboards are basically layouts of what is going
to go on each page of your book.
ď‚— There are many different ways of creating
storyboards and you can click the button below to
see a video that gives an idea of what some look
  like.

                                                  Exit
Peer Review
ď‚— After you have your draft written and your story
laid out with some sketches of the illustrations, it
is important to receive feedback on your book.
ď‚— Having peers read and comment on your book is
helpful in the editing process. They can give you
tips on what they like and what they would like to
  see changed.

                                                     Exit
Edit
ď‚— After completing your first draft of your story and
getting feedback on it from others it is time to
make any necessary changes to your work.
ď‚— These changes can include adding detail, fixing
spelling mistakes, and rearranging parts of your
  story.
ď‚— It is important to make any necessary changes
  before completing your final draft.

                                                    Exit
Illustrate
ď‚— After you complete your writing it is time to create
pictures to go along with it.
ď‚— You can illustrate your story multiple ways.
ď‚— Choose a medium comfortable that you are with,
whether paint, markers, colored pencils, or
  crayons.

                                                    Exit
Put it together
ď‚— The final step in making a book is to put it all
  together!
ď‚— You need to use the layout you created in your
storyboard to put the illustrations with the text.
ď‚— There are many different ways of making books.
ď‚— Click on the book to visit a website that shows
one way to build a book.

                                                     Exit
Read!
ď‚— The final step in becoming an author is sharing
  your work with others.
ď‚— A great way of showing off your finished product
is by reading it to others!

                                                    Exit
