NARAYANA MURTHY WHILE EMPLOYED AS A ENGINEER AT TELCO IN PUNE. • SHE BLESSED WITH TWO KIDS AKSHATA AND ROHAN MURTHY. • THE BOOK “HOW I TAUGHT MY GRANDMOTHER TO READ” HAS BEEN TRANSLATED IN 15 LANGUAGES.

NARRATOR READING THE SERIAL TO HER GRANDMOTHER. • THE NARRATOR’S GRANDMOTHER WOULD RELATE THE EPISODE TO HER FRIENDS IN THE TEMPLE COURTYARD. • GRANDMOTHER TAUGHT HER GRANDDAUGHTER ABOUT HER.THE NARRATOR COULDNOT UNDERSTAND WHY HER GRANDMOTHER TOLD ALL THIS TO HER. • THE GRANDMOTHER TOLD THE NARRATOR THAT SHE HAS DECIDED TO LEARN THE KANNADA ALPHABET. SHE HAD MIXED SWARASWATI POOJA DAY DURING DASSARA WHEN SHE WOULD BE ABLE TO READ THE NOVEL ON HER OWN.

NARRATOR BELIEVES THAT HER STUDENTS PASSED WITH FLYING COLOURS.

SHE GOES TO TEMPLE AND SHARES THE RELIGIOUS STORY ‘KASHI YATRE’ WITH HER FRIENDS.
  • 13. • SHE DECIDED TO BE AN INDEPENDENT READER.SHE IS VERY EMOTIONAL. WHEN SHE COULDNOT FIND ANYONE TO READ ‘KASHI YATRE’ SHE CRIES A LOT. • KRISHTAKKA IS A GOOD STUDENT AS SHE CAN GRASP THE THINGS VERY QUICKLY. • SHE ALSO RESPECT HER TEACHER(HER GRANDDAUGHTER)BY TOUCHING HER FEET.
