The GIGA Information Centre (IZ) is the special library that focuses on Area and Comparative Area Studies. It collects and makes available literature pertaining to the GIGA‘s research regions, overarching topics of investigation, and social-science theory and methodology. Its significance stems from the literature it houses and from its prominence within the larger framework of research information. The inventory of the IZ is also available for use by external researchers, students, and the general public.
