A lot of people are being persecuted due to their race,
religion, and a big part is nationality.
Race is used in the broadest sense and includes ethnic
groups and social groups of common descent.
Religion also has a broad meaning, including identification
with a group that tends to share common traditions or beliefs,
as well as the active practice of religion.
Nationality includes an individual’s citizenship..
I think people need to understand the definitions of the main
reasons people become refugees.
3. A person is so afraid of what people are
doing to them they have to run for their life.
Once someone leaves they never return
because of the fear they faced there.
The sad part is that refugees have just been
acknowledged in the last 10 to 20 years.
Before that no one cared that people had
to run for their lives in order to stay alive.

When a refugee is tortured they are not only physically hurt
but also psychologically.

Even though they are protected women
have to engage in sex in order to get food,
shelter and clothing.
People in Thailand are being sent to sea
with nothing by the troops. The majority of
the people are Muslim refugees.

The centre has been around since 1999
and is helping million of people each
year.

find homes and a safe living
environment.
10. A band by the name Rise Against has for
the last 18 years been involved in the rights
to humans (mainly refugees).
They just had a song for refugee rights.
They actually care about the world they
have to live in and have the chance to
make it better.
People don’t realize the number of refugees
that have to run for their lives every year.
