1. What materials did they use to create their murals and why? Where were
they normally created?
Many Egyptian Murals were made from gold and semi-precious
stones, this was used to protect and preserve the mural for a very
long time. Gold was used because it was one of the most important
products of Nubia. Murals were made inside the pyramids inside the
tombs in the homes of the kings at the time.
What was the process of creating a mural and who did it?
Slaves would engrave the design in to the stone first and then after
they would add the colour. Colours were created from oil and then
they would colour the mural. The murals were usually made by
slaves.
What was the reason/purpose for creating murals?
Was to keep a record of history for future generations
And to prove ancient Egyptian really existed
The type of murals depended on the culture and the social status of
that person.
Murals would tell stories of the kings and leaders also about the
lifestyle of Egyptians during that time.
Any important event was usually made intro a mural to be
remembered forever.

They do images of daily life, historical figures from Egypt.
They would usually be centred on the gods.
