*This was my first attempt at making a school magazine,
therefore to construct my magazine I followed the main
conventions of a school magazine. I used a masthead, puff,
cover lines, by-lines and a barcode. The main image in front
of my magazine was a sixth form student in front of a tree in
a wooded area because my edition was a Halloween edition. I
used a mid shot when taking the picture so that it wouldn’t
be intimidating towards the audience. I also put the barcode
in the bottom right of my magazine to follow the convetions.

*My media product shows different groups of
students in a professional way. The main image
on my cover page is a smart dressed sixth-form
student. Her background is outside in the
forest to fit the theme of this magazine being a
Halloween edition. Her outfit makes the school
look smart and gives them a better image for
themselves.

*My school is a comprehensive school and not a private
school, there will be a certain group of students that are
reliable enough and that would like to help out in
designing the school magazine themselves.

*The magazine I am making is aimed towards the students,
parents and teachers of the school. Mainly it’s aimed
towards the students because they're the main group
which would buy and read and they could possibly give it
to their parents to read. However the teachers may be
interested just to see what it’s about and how well the
students are at constructing a magazine themselves.

*To attract an audience you should use
interesting by-lines and headlines that would
make them want to read the magazine. My by-
line in my magazine is about what happening
around the school so therefore it would
hopefully intrigue them into reading it further.
I have also used bright, bold colours to catch
peoples eye and hopefully by it being a
Halloween edition it would interest people
more.

*From making my school magazine I have taken
on how to use Photoshop and how to use
blogger . Within Photoshop I have learnt how to
put text on top of a photo, use colour overlay
and bevel and emboss tools.
