2. What kind of colours would you like to see on
the front cover?
Grace: For a pop magazine, I think vibrant
colours work well
Emma: I’d like to see bright, ‘pop’ colours on
the front cover, it’s more appealing, however
not too bright, that could start to look
childish
Karla: Definitely bright colours, but black still
works well with white and bright colours
3. What kind of image would you like to see on
the front cover?
Grace: I think I’d most like to see one main
image of a female artist, that’s what I listen to
most
Emma: I agree, a female artist or a female
band
Karla: A female artist or male artist, but one
main person would look the best
4. How many cover lines do you think would
look best on the front cover?
Grace: Not loads because that can make it
look fussy
Emma: I think about 4 including a pug, then it
won’t look too much
Karla: Not too many but not too little, about 4
around the picture
5. How many pictures would you like to see on
the contents page?
Grace: I think one main image and then
maybe one or two small ones of different
bands/artists
Emma: I agree with Grace
Karla: About 2, with one main picture of a
different artist to the front cover
6. What colours would you like to see on the
contents page?
Grace: The same colour scheme as on the
front, it looks more professional to keep the
colour scheme consistent
Emma: Bright colours again to fit in with the
‘pop’ theme, same as the front cover
Karla: Keep the colours the same to make a
theme
7. What type of language would you expect on
the contents page?
Grace: Not formal language, mostly informal
and language that relates to young people, so
use of slang
Emma: A small use of slang, but not too
much of it, informal and chatty to make it
personal
Karla: Informal language to relate to its target
audience
8. Would you prefer the article to be freeflowing or Q&A?
Grace: Q&A makes it more interesting
Emma: Q&A because I like to see how the
celebrity answers the question
Karla: I think Q&A is more popular, it’s more
entertaining to see what a celebrity gets
asked and what they answer
9. Would you like to see any images on the
double page spread?
Grace: I think just one main image in the
middle would look good
Emma: Just the one or two images, this page
is about the text, one main image will be
more appealing as it will look more effective
and won’t detract from the text
Karla: One main image on the left hand
side, if there was any more, just a small one
10. What would you like the article to be about on
the double page spread?
Grace: News about a new and upcoming artist
Emma: An interview with an artist, talking
about a new album/tour
Karla: An interview about how an artist came
to fame
