An annual Postgraduate Open Day of the University of Leicester School of Management will be
held on 19 March 2014. It will provide students an opportunity to discuss their chosen subjects with
academics, and look around the campus and library.
The University of Leicester School of Management is set to organise their annual Postgraduate
Open Day on campus on Wednesday 19 March 2014 between 3.00pm and 8.00pm.The objective
is to enable postgraduate applicants to find out about the university, courses available and
facilities. Students need to book an open day place beforehand.
The open day will provide students with an opportunity to speak to academics from their chosen
subjects, have discussions with current postgraduates, look around the campus and library and
find out more about postgraduate life at Leicester. Students can also learn about financing studies.
All registered attendees to the event will be mailed information about the full programme.
Students will be able to look around the facilities with guided campus tours between 3.00pm-
6.00pm, while the David Wilson library will be open for self-guided tours between 3.00pm-8.00pm.
Guided tours of the library are scheduled for 4.30pm and 7.00pm, and will last for approximately 30
minutes. Core talks, each lasting 30 minutes, will be held in Ken Edwards Lecture Theatre 1.
These include Welcome Talk (3.00pm - 3.30pm and 6.00pm - 6.30pm), Finance (4.00pm - 4.30pm
and 6.30pm - 7.30pm) and Student Life (5.00pm - 5.30pm).
Subject talks will be held in the ARC - Percy Gee building, Ken Edwards,and Attenborough Tower
in Careers, Counselling, Criminology, Economics, Education, Geography, Law, Mathematics,
Media, Molecular and Medical MScs in Biosciences, Museum Studies, Politics, Social Work and
Sociology. Departmental stalls will be open 3.00pm - 8.00pm and members of departments will be
available to answer questions in the Queens Hall and the Square inside the Percy Gee building.
Courses taught by distance learning include Masters degrees, diplomas and certificates. The
