2. I believe the best thing to do to produce a quality
experimental production is to produce something
you’re passionate about so you can express your
feelings in art form so I picked a topic I was
passionate about which was music.
Where my idea came from
3. My target audience for my piece is music fans from
ages 18-30 both male and female, I think that this is a
suitable target audience as they’re old enough to get
the message while being young enough to need the
message. I would like to install it outside a music
arena

4. My idea is two screens next to one another, one screen will be
a live feed from a dance floor at a club and the other from a
live piece of classical music. There will be a switch in front of
the two screens making you able to switch their sound around
so the classical music is at the club and the dance music at the
classical performance

5. For the video installation part of my brief I would like to install
my piece in a night club / music arena, I believe a good location
for this would be Fibbers in York, there’s a backroom in which I
could install my two screens and the live feed would come
from the main dance floor. I believe that this would be a good
gimmick for the club as people would try to get on the screen
in the back room and this would enhance the effect of my
point.

6. Another reason I believe this venue would be a good
place to install my work is fibbers host a number of
different nights every day of the week playing loads
of different music and the live feed could get show a
range of different people every week and
9. The message I’m trying to portray in this piece is how
much more music is rather than just an entertainment
form, it helps define people just as much as social
class. Helps decide peoples friends, attitude, opinions,
dress code and more.

10. My idea is pretty easily achieved, in order for me to
achieve this all I will need is a professional audio
mixer to be able to fade the different music's from
screen to screen, apart from that all I need is two
screens and a live feed.

will need two T.V screens, a vision mixer and a live SDI
cable to create my live feed
