2. Sensex closed at 18460 up around 131 points. The sectoral gainer for the day was
Realty sector which was up around 2.47% and the loser was the Power sector
which was down around 0.99%. The volatility index closed at 15.46 down around
2.21%.
Realty stocks were trading higher on fresh buying. The pharma stocks were in
focus as the government is likely to discuss on the drug pricing guidelines. Retail
stocks were also trading higher.
In the international front, the European shares were trading mixed as the Euro
area finance ministers failed to reach a consensus on assisting Greece. The US
index futures were also trading low. The winter session is scheduled to begin on
November 22 which may now the major trigger for the Indian investors.
