1. How to Wear

2. Step 1
Please check from a competent astrologer
whether or not Ruby suits you.Wearing a
gemstone that does not suit you as per your
astrological chart is not recommended.
Gemstones bring changes in your natural
energy fields and wearing a non suitable
gemstone can be harmful. Only upon
verification of the above,

3. Step 2
Buy a Ruby on a Sunday during the Shukla
Paksha (the ascending moon cycle). If you
have problems purchasing a Ruby on Sunday,
then, purchase it on a Monday or a Thursday. It
is better still if Sun is in its own sign, Leo. Ruby
may also be purchased when the nakshatra
(constellation) is Pushya, Krittika, Uttara
Phalguni or Uttarashada.

4. Step 3
The ring should be set in a mixture of
Gold and Copper and the stone mounted in
open backed ring such that it can touch the
finger that you wear on.The weight of the Ruby
should be around 3 rattikas
(1 Rattika = 0.9 carats).

5. Step 4
Upon receiving the ring,
decide on the day to wear
it keeping in mind the rules given in Step 2. The
ring should be worn at Sunrise time.

6. Step 5
Sit facing East or a Dark Red Asana.
Keep the ring immersed in raw cow’s milk.
Then wash it with Ganga – water or water kept
in a copper pot overnight. After it has been
washed, keep the ring on a red cloth on which
a Surya Yantra (numerical yantra may be used)
is drawn with red sandalwood paste or roli with
some turmeric powder.

7. Step 6
Offer flowers, incense to the yantra and the Ruby
and chant the following mantra 108 times:
"Aum Hring Hamsah Suryaye Namah Aum"
or chant Aditya Hridyam Stotram or Gayatri
Mantra.
Wear the Ring.
