AREA
is a country in western Africa. Senegal is externally
âGOLLâ bounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Mauritania to the

south. Senegal covers a land area of almost 197,000 square

herders for pastoral purposes.
ï There were two Peuhl settlements , Mbayene Peuhl and Fouta Goll in
this Zone.
7. THE ï Peuhl were encouraged to settle by the Serere community.
âGOLLâ ï Peuhl stayed only during the rainy season, moving on to richer areas of
