2. A Note
from
Woody
Dear Friends in Christ,
From it's earliest days camp has been a place that
brought people TOGETHER for fellowship, recreation,
encouragement, service, and worship. That tradition
continues today TOGETHER as volunteers,
supporters, leaders, and staff through God's grace,
make Camp Luther what it is today.
This is our first Annual Report. I hope this is
informative and helpful to you. If you have any
questions about camp, please feel free to contact me.
I would enjoy talking with you about this incredible
ministry.
As we reflect on the year that has passed in this
Annual Report, I pray that you would consider how
we may do even more for Christ's Kingdom through
Camp Luther. Thank you for your prayers and
support.
TOGETHER In Christ,
Gary "Woody" Vought
Executive Director
In him you also are being built together into a
dwelling place for God by the Spirit. Ephesians 2:22

"Camp helped boost his confidence. It showed him that he can do things that he thought he couldn't do (like being away
from home for 5 days). He is still humming and singing the songs he learned at camp everywhere he goes. He has also told
any and everyone he sees about his time at Camp Luther."4
5. Our Vision Statement
“Through God’s Grace, Camp Luther will be nationally recognized as
a premier Christian camp, embracing the challenge to produce the
finest spiritual programs emphasizing; healthy relationships,
leadership skills and service in a diverse world. With an exemplary
staff, quality facilities, and in the midst of God’s creation, Camp
Luther will reach out to thousands of children, adults and families
with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

6. "The devotions were very impactful on my child for sure. It
definitely helped her grow in faith and she seems to have had
a boost in confidence of God's love for her. She says that she
learned so much from the devotions
and Christian growth times."

Thank you to everyone who has stepped forward in support of the Filled with the
Spirit Campaign! With more than $1.13 million in commitments, momentum is
building for this important comprehensive campaign that will impact the future of
Camp Luther for generations. Your commitment to this campaign blesses children
through Every Kid to Camp, ministry programs through the Outdoor Ministry Fund
and funding of the Retreat Center and new Dining facility.
Proceeds to Every Kid to
Camp will provide first
time camp experiences to
300 campers annually at
no cost to the family and
provide financial
assistance to many
others.
The Outdoor Ministry
Fund provides essential
annual funding of camps,
retreats, improvements,
Junior Counselors, and
program development.
Building projects funded through Filled with the Spirit will provide
improved housing through the lower level of the Retreat Center. A
new Dining Facility will enhance the Camp Luther ministry
through increased space for meals, food preparation, storage, and

THANK YOU!
Since 2006, $765,565 in gifts
has blessed the lives of 2490 children!
"Our daughter came home from camp rejuvenated and stronger in faith. We love camp as much as she does!!! Thank you!"
Your support of Every Kid to Camp sends as many as 300 children
to camp for their first time each summer. Every Kid to Camp also
provides financial aid for up to 100 children each year.
$60,000 is still needed to meet our goal of 300 campers in 2017.
Your commitment to Camp Luther and the Every Kid to Camp fund is truly transforming
lives. It is through your support that these children develop meaning friendships,
experience the mentorship of a counselor, discover their unique gifts and talents, and
are given hope in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As our culture becomes more and more
secular, and as children face great challenges to their faith each and every day, the
unique Christian environment of camp is needed more than ever. Thank you for helping
to bring the joy and hope we have in Christ into the lives of these children.

19. 70th Anniversary
Alumni Staff Reunion
Camp Luther was filled with hugs, laughs, and trips down memory lane July 1-3, 2016
as those who served on Camp’s Summer and Full-time Staff during the past 70 years
gathered for a reunion. Alumni staff in attendance came from 14 states and
represented 6 decades! The reunion theme was Surrounded, from Hebrews 12: 1.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw
off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with
perseverance the race marked out for us,”
Thank you to everyone who participated in the weekend, and all those who have
served on Camp Luther’s staff!
