2. No they didn’t, Miley
did. And this isn’t the
first time the band are
out staged by a pop
artist. Remember 2012
when their concert was
interrupted by a young
Justin Bieber? Who
could forget! The way
he stole their mike and
labelled bleech box as
“junk” and an
“embarrassment” to
music. From this I
guess soared their
creativity for their
new video creating much
controversy. Have you
seen it? Well it’s
about time you did. A
mixture of different
artists all performing
together in one big
parody explosion. Of
course all the starts
are there; Miley Cyrus,
LMFAO, Justin Bieber and
daft punk. People so
famous you would
instantly notice them.
But does anyone know who
bleech box is? When
asking their “target
audience” about the band
they simply had no idea
who they were. It seems
bleech box won’t be
hitting anywhere else,
and if they do, let’s
hope they get more
attention then these
other countries. I pity
them! They work so hard
only to be ignored by
the media. But why would
people care when better
artists to listen to
Like the other artists
they seem to despise so
much. But why do they
hate them so? Is it
because they get more
money than them- more
success? Is it jealousy
or pride? Or is it
simply that bleech box
can never live up to the
celebrities that they
mock? when asked about
the intent of the video
Jax- drummer for the
band- had this to say;
“people need to open
their eyes to the media
saturated world around
them”. A little deep for
a drummer who barely
even passed his GCSE’s.
iIn fact for the whole
band to even thing
postmodern is beyond me,
not one of the boys has
a single qualification.
And what message does
that send to the younger
Fans? Failure is an
option. You want to fail
your exams? That’s fine
as long as you want to
live the rest of your
life a a failed rock
star. Or “pop-punk” I
should say, if you can
even call their music
that. Overall I feel
that bleech box are a
band not too different
from the rest, though
they try so hard to be.
Why bother when you’ll
simply be out-staged by
those so much better?
Get with the high
culture guys- or is that
a little too post-modern
for you?
