2. The Beginning
“Your Fired!” said Mr. Frankenbanana. “Fine”,
my dad said. “I don’t need this crummy place
anyways”. “I only get paid two cents an hour”.
When my dad got home he had told us what
had happened. So, we were off to start a new
life in Austin’s colony.
3. Our Journey to the new home
We rode on horses, I rode with my dad and my
sister rode with my mom. We needed a new
start so we got a lawyer to qualify are land, we
received 1600 acres of land. It was a good trip
not too long. It took us 3 weeks. And we didn’t
experience any difficulties. It was quite a
pleasant trip.
6. 1823
A year had passed since we had moved to the
colony. My mom called us for dinner, we had
some nice bread with hot beef. “mm mmm”
we all said.
7. 1823
My dad had invested in cattle this year. Which
was smart because all the new people coming
were hungry, and one again he had made
quite a good profit. We had a blessed year
once again.
10. Our Profit
We only had 1 troubled time through out our
life in Gonzales, it was when some natives
came and took some food and supplies
nothing serious. My family made 4500$ total
throughout are three years.
11. My life
I Decided to stay in Gonzales the rest of my life,
I got married and had 7 kids they all grew up
successful and I died happily ever ever.
