5. 3) What was your inspiration and when did you actually decide
to become a freelancer?
I started to think about becoming a freelancer after working as
an internal consultant in ExxonMobil Corporation (I was the
Supervisor of the SAP Support Team in the Tax and Reporting
Analysis Center) as I was looking for more challenging
opportunities.
I started freelancing part time while I was working for a
company (Grupo Slots) as a permanent ERP analyst. But as of
2014 I freelance full time.

8. 5) Do you use other freelancers or companies to provide skills
that you don’t possess?
I am frequently in contact with other SAP and non SAP
professionals experienced in other areas I haven´t worked
on. They are a valuable source for me. I commonly contact
colleagues I have worked with and represent a proven quality
type of professional in terms of professionalism,
responsibility, strong customer orientation, technical and
business knowledge among other things.

9. 6) Now tell us, how do you find new clients that are interested
in your services?
I find my clients through many different ways. For example, I
have applied for searches in business networks, I
permanently receive job offers by mail, some colleagues also
contact me when they need a FICO resource and I also took
the initiative and contacted people from the Government of
San Luis (by telephone).

10. 7) What about freelancermap.com? Can you tell us a little bit
about your experience with our IT-network?
I check freelancermap frequently. I think it is an excellent site for
finding job opportunities. Nevertheless, in my case I haven’t
found the type of contract for those jobs that matches my skills
since at this moment I am looking for part time remote work and,
as I have experienced, I believe the IT market is not prepared yet
to relay on all the tools or applications that are available
nowadays for developing this type of work relationship (such as
skype, gmail hangout tool, others). Fortunately, the times I
worked remotely for a client, they called me for further work
assignments, as they were very satisfied with my work.

11. 8) How do you set yourself apart from your competitors? What
makes you special?
There are a lot of SAP Consultants in the market but there are very
few who have had the opportunity of participating in so many full
cycle projects as I have. The experience you obtain in that kind of
projects is wide and you grow a grate deal in every aspect.
But knowledge is not everything. You need to be compromised,
assume client’s goals as your own, understand the psychological
factors in the team you are working with and always attempt to
deliver a high quality work. There has not been one client who has
not offered me to stay in the company as a permanent employee.

12. 9) What are the top three books, blogs or magazines you read
to stay up to date in the IT-market?
Linkedin newsletters, Twitter, www.mundosap.com

13. 10) Freestyle! Is there anything you would like to tell our readers?
I am new in freelancing, and there are a lot of blogs and forums
sharing tips for freelancers. I find them very useful and I am glad to
find I am already fulfilling the most important aspects. I have
worked in several projects among different industries and that is
one of my strengths. Clearly, this step in my career comes with
new challenges and that is very motivating for me.
Nowadays in Argentina, the monetary type of exchange makes us
very competitive in terms of rates among the world. I am offering
part time remote services at a competitive and fair rate
considering my expertise and experience. Those interested can
contact me via email.
